The Mac’s double sausage and egg McMuffin meal is normally my go to favourite thing to have off their morning menu which finishes at 11:00am. Twice I have been to this Mac’s and both of the sausage patties have been burnt. Plus I went through the drive through as I was in a rush to carry on my journey by the time I had realised I was parked up at my destination unable to take my meal back for a replacement.
This Mac’s has two charging banks for electric vehicles ideal for those who are not disabled drivers. Those of you like me who are disabled drivers you will need assistance in using these electric chargers which takes away our independence. They are surrounded by high curbs, with grass and slabs. Then the black and white bollard stops drivers from driving into the machines but also stops you from getting your wheelchair any closer because of this barrier. Unless you have extra long arms 4 foot longer than normal is needed to even reach the ports. If for some reason you would need to get out to start off the hole charging process this to would be impossible for a disabled driver as there is no extra space for you between the parking spaces or if you do park next to the grass side you will have to jump off the curb to access the ports, somehow! This charging station is so badly inaccessible that it excludes disabled drivers and probably puts them off from even contemplating have an electric vehicles. Which ever company installed these will have to redesign and rebuild them and spend extra money on making it fully accessible. But why couldn’t this be done when they first installed the chargers. Fully accessible charging stations!
Unfortunately disabled people in society are very much an after thought, excluded from the world in which it was made for those without any disabilities.
Unless you want to feel degraded, hating your disability, dependant on others and someone’s after thought I would stay clear of this charging facility as a disabled driver.
On a positive side there was plenty of empty spaces to pull in and out of after going through the drive through, the car park was also very...
Read moreWe arrived at the Drive Thru at 6.30pm on a clear but chilly Friday evening. To put it into perspective, my Aunty's shins were absolutely freezing even with a blanket over her legs. Upon reaching the order station, our server asked if we would be using the App to place our order. The car was overcome with panic, as we were completely unaware that that was the protocol. Our fears were immediately calmed by a warm chuckle from our server who reassured us that ordering from the App was not a mandatory part of our visit. Despite the Northern bite in the air, we threw caution to the wind and ordered 3 McFlurries and 3 ice cold drinks with our meals. We were met with the beaming smile of our order-taker at the payment window, who graciously accepted our card payment. His personable nature made this experience all the more enjoyable. A slight error of spatial judgement occurred when we continued on to the collection window, which can only be put down to the cold shins of my aunty combined with the open window. How refreshing it was that the friendly lass at the window was patient, and reserved no judgement whilst we reversed back and pulled up for a second attempt. This ensured for a comfortable food exchange for all parties concerned. Our order was well packaged, and felt secure within the paper bags. All items were present, along with the generous supply of condiments that we had requested. Parking was an absolute breeze, as there were ample bays available. As we feasted on our hearty meals, we were seduced by the flavours and quality of this particular McDonalds. We thought "It doesn't get better than this!" Well, it did. In my peripheral vision, I noticed a trio of happy ducks, waddling their way through the carpark...Which pretty much topped off our ultimate dining experience. We've now decided to make this a family tradition, to travel up to the Castle Bridge Road Mcdonalds Nottingham from Sussex every Easter, in an attempt to recreate the magic of this...
Read moreSadly for the first time in 30 years of going to McDonalds with my children and my grandchildren and the amount of money I have spent with Mac Donalds this is my first complaint. I went to Castle Marina a few weeks ago. We use to go most weeks when my children were growing up as I use to shop at Sainsbury’s but then I moved away but my family still live in Nottingham. We have been to majority of the outlets in Nottingham and other parts of the country. We went in castle marina a few weeks ago for two of my grandsons birthdays and as usual had a lovely time. However I then receive a parking ticket for £100 stating that I was on private land for 1.45 mins and only 1.30 is now allowed on the parking. I think it’s disgraceful especially to a loyal customer and obviously some signs must be up stating a limit now in the car parking. We were having a birthday party with cakes. So we stayed 1.45 minutes but now because of our loyalty being punished for it. Outrageous and disgusting. What’s wrong with staying longer? You may depend I won’t be going in there again and will be making a complaint to the manager. So beware you cannot stay longer than 1.30 minutes! I hope the outlet loses customers over their decision to put a limit on the parking. There is no sign in the outlet to let you know rules have changed to be...
