Pausa Cafe — Restaurant in Nottingham

My friend and I decided to try the cafe in the newly renovated Dumelm store in ilkeston. I ordered a breakfast and my friend ordered a sausage cob. First off there were no eggs for the breakfast so I said I'd have extra hash browns instead. The assistant taking orders was friendly. We sat down and waited for our food. My breakfast arrived minus the toast which the assistant said wouldn't be long. I was given no cutlery and had to go and ask someone for it. 15 mins later my toast arrived when I'd almost eaten my breakfast. I told the assistant it was a waste of time now as I'd almost finished my food. Apparently the toaster is temperamental? Which isnt much use to the customer sat waiting. Disappointed to be spoken to rudely and sarcastically by one of the staff who despite her years (Late 40s, early 50s, dark hair in a pony tail) decided to talk to me like was a 14 year old school girl. When I asked about my food, she SHOULD have said something like, "Sorry for the delay. It will come soon." She should not have stared me down and said... "you do want it hot dont you". I won't be going back. I've been here several times before but I will not recommend it to friends. Good customer service doesn't cost anything and results in returning customers. Poor...

Have been to Pausa cafe many times and enjoyed a sandwich/cake etc . Went yesterday ordered a jacket potato with cheese beans plus other items. This was to give to my granddaughter. Half the potatoes was hard so took it back. Was told sorry when bought back and said they had put it in again. While some of the potato was good to eat but it was still hard in places.yes should have taken it back again but granddaughter was hungry so ate what bit was edible which was less than half the potato. .
