Sorry, it was nothing worthy of a 5☆ service today

--‐--‐-----------------‐‐------------‐----------------------------------- I've always supported this branch of Nandos in Nottingham because the food is well prepared, presented, staff friendly, and service quiet good.

Far from that today. We were seated quite quickly and pleasantly. Went to order, and that was as expected, good friendly chap.

Got back to our seat and got chatting and noticed after a while that 3 tables that came after us were served.

After checking my receipt, I noticed we were waiting for close to 45 minutes!!!

I went to check on our order, noticed nithing much on the grill, and staff were talking to each other, and the manager Natasha was checking something on screen and said she'd be with me shortly. Explained to her that we have been waiting quite a bit for our order, so is everything ok??? She asked for our table number, and she checked, ....said they have a new system, and it could be why the order not gone through...??? She will rush it through?? No APOLOGY. If you have a new system that's playing up, wouldn't you be keeping an eye on it to ensure no orders are forgotten??? And better yet go tell your customers what's happening! Customer Service 101, eh!

Just nonchalantly as if that's OK!!!

The couple beside us started complaining to themselves that their order was taking a while. I suggested they check on their order and explain what happened to us. True to form, they were told, "we have a new system.....' we left before their order came!

Not good enough today, Nandos. Food was good when it turned up, although he had to go back 3x as left some stuff...but he was a pleasant...

I typically do not write reviews; however, I felt compelled to share my experience during my initial visit to this establishment, prompted by my son’s request. He has frequented this chain before but had not previously visited this specific location. Upon entering, my first impression was that the environment was quite cold. I took note that many patrons were dining while still wearing their coats, which struck me as rather unusual and somewhat unacceptable, especially considering that one is paying for a dining experience that requires sitting still. It was evident that even the staff appeared uncomfortable, as they were walking around in T-shirts. The service could have been improved; it seemed to be staffed mostly by young students who lacked engagement and were primarily focused on completing transactions rather than providing quality service. While placing our order, my partner, child, and I experienced an oversight, as one item was missing. To my surprise, a senior manager informed us of this discrepancy before I had the opportunity to raise the issue myself, suggesting an awareness of their staff's shortcomings. This experience marked the beginning of an unfortunate series of events. Had I been aware of what awaited me upon my return home, I might have acted differently. I experienced significant abdominal discomfort, which resulted in diarrhea and illness. Unfortunately, I even fainted while using the restroom, which was quite an embarrassing situation. In summary, I do not intend to visit this...

This was my first experience of a Nandos; myself and a friend went for lunch in Nottingham and I was looking forward to the experience based on my friend's recommendation.

We were promptly brought to a table by a polite server who was attentive to dietary and allergy needs, and helpfully informed us of the different ordering methods we could use. I attempted to use the app via the QR code posted at each table, but an error occurred, so I simply ordered at the counter. Technology can sometimes be a pain to use when you come to rely on it, so I won't penalise Nandos necessarily for that.

Our orders came within 10 minutes and it was served piping hot by another polite and courteous server. I had the boneless chicken breast with a Fanta-infused sauce, along with the coleslaw and peri-salted fries, whilst my friend had a peri-peri chicken with peri-salted fries and mash.

The chicken was succulent and juicy, cooked perfectly, and nicely seasoned; the fries were a little generic in terms of a base potato flavour, but the peri-salt made up for that short fall; the coleslaw was nice and fresh, made with a zingy mayonnaise. My friend seemed to enjoy his meal thoroughly as well.

A great first time experience at Nandos, and I'd be happy to return and try some other items from the menu! My friend's mash...
