Absolutely abysmal service. Food took quite a while to deliver and was almost cold on arrival. The toppings on the pizza were incorrect, the garlic pizza sticks were just cheese, no garlic in them at all and to top it off, they didn't even deliver our dessert cookie.
We called the shop and it felt almost impossible to get through to them. We had to leave the phone ringing while we continued watching TV and it timed out in about 5 minutes. We had to do this 3 times before we actually got through to them (they REALLY don't like answering the phones).
Once we got through to someone, they said that the cookie wasn't in stock and asked us whether we were called and informed that they didn't have it in stock. They didn't even attempt to call us about this, they didn't tell us at the door either. They offered to send out a different desert so we chose the cinnapie. It actually arrived and I was quite surprised and grateful, however it wasn't very nice anyway... Oh well.
Overall, very poor performance, worst takeaway I've ever had an experience with, I would give it 0 stars if possible and I will never order from there again. I would advise others to do the same and not order from here. Choose another Papa Johns if possible because the others in Nottingham are amazing, like Beeston. First time I’ve ever complained on google as a local guide….The colleagues / managers are unable to communicate with a member of the public / customer in a way that is respectful and professional. I raised a complaint as a friend who answered the door said they took money for the order that was already paid for online (he was a little worse for wear). I called up and spoke to the manager and said if this is true I want the money returning and an apology to my friend as it’s his house. I then got a phone call 20 minutes later from the delivery driver directly ??? and the way I was spoken was just well WOW… disrespectful and unprofessional, phases used like “you’ve accused me of steeling” and “I never took nothing as we don’t take cash ?” The phone was then put down when I asked how I complain about the interaction. I called back to the so called manager and then proceeded to tell me he had a go at her ? And I pointed out that a manager that not right and as the manager he should of called me back. Never again will I use this store again. I would surgery so training courses on dealing with complaints, investigations and people management so you can be treating your colleague fairly so they don’t feel attacked and on the defensive and then have it out with a customer on the phone ??...
Read moreOK. I had issues with the driver getting lost as they had gone to postcode and not as per my instructions, so got lost on my estate. A ridiculous amount of time, on phone to both driver and store manager. Food wasn't hot by time it arrived. Driver was so apologetic. Bless him. Store manager said he would make me a fresh order, but still left me with the original order. I heated up the starters while awaiting the 2nd order. Then when 2nd order came I had fresh hot pizza. It was obviously too much food for me to eat all in 1 go. So I had it the next 2 days.
I am just very grateful both the driver and the store manager understood my predicament (immobile) that I cant currently get to my local place. I was grateful they left me my original order cos at least I could heat it up and have something to eat while waiting for the fresh food. He also sent the same driver back (a different driver would maybe have same issue) and the lovely driver was so sorry and I felt bad I didn't have any cash to tip him
