We stayed here for one night and it was lovely, it was nice to see the busiest part of notts be so peaceful and quiet, the room was very thoughtfully stocked with a kettle, tea coffee and hot chocolate, as well as cups etc. we also had a tv with channels that was built in the wall, it felt very rustic and played well into the theme of this historical building, we got breakfast included with a wide variety of food as a continental buffet, as well as the staff member asking us if we want any tea or coffee, and they also make sandwiches and the sort if you ask them as if there isn’t enough selection. Very pleasant and nicely decorated, it’s also a bistro and bar so even if you’re not staying overnight it’s definitely worth visiting. The Location is very convenient as it’s face to face with the train station, having a tesco and Starbucks right at the door. We were also informed that after the check out they can keep the bags for us up until they close at 9pm. Which was extremely useful as nobody likes carrying their luggage with them while visiting the town. Our room was a shared bathroom one, never did that before, i do recommend making sure you got the private bathroom option when you book it. It wasn’t at all as bad as i thought ( i thought it’ll be stalls) it’s two washrooms fully stocked with everything including shower gel and shampoo, however someone did have a shave in the shower and didn’t bother to clean it, it was there for the whole stay. Overall i definitely...

Stayed for a night at the Bentinck Hotel and couldn’t have asked for a more convenient location—literally footsteps from Nottingham train station. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Moose, who provided exceptional customer service. Later in the day, the staff kindly held my luggage until my room was ready in the afternoon.
The room itself was comfortable, warm, and had everything needed for a short stay. The bed was a little small for a couple. The shower was great, and the windows provided a nice touch to the room’s ambiance.
The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the staff—everyone I interacted with was incredibly friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. Their professionalism and warmth really stood out.
The hotel itself has a charming historical theme, with well-maintained decor. In the morning, I enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast but opted to upgrade to a full English, which was well worth it.
Overall, a fantastic stay with top-notch service. If you’re looking for a welcoming hotel right next to the train station with great staff and a cozy atmosphere, this is the place to be.

Read moreSituated opposite the train station couldn't be more convenient. Small entrance to the the stairs. There were 2 more flights up to our room. (No lift) We were early checking in (12pm) so our room wasn't ready, but our luggage was safely locked away and we could get on with our shopping weekend. The room was small but perfect for 2 , it was spotless and the bed was clean and very comfy, with tea/coffee facilities and fresh towels with the lovely addition of proper tea cups (instead of the standard white mugs😁) We were advised to put in two of the key cards into the electricity slot as it can be a bit temperamental. We did this and the lights kept going out after about 15 seconds, which we thought quite funny! We decided to try with just one, and it worked. Continental breakfast is included in the price. Staff polite and friendly and when my friend asked about 'free from' breakfast items, they made a note of it and the next day, provided a great selection of breakfast options! The breakfast room was lovely, so calm and personal. We will definitely be staying...
