Was really looking forward to trying this place. I had avocado and beans on sourdough with poached eggs. A coffee Bon Bon, which was really good. Service was a little slow but a small place and busy so understandable. Food didn’t take long to come out as well as the coffee. Server was friendly and had a nice vibe about him, as well as the atmosphere and decor. Eggs cooked well, beans was tasty with a distinctive cumin flavour, I’d say a diffrent flavour would be better appreciated to the dish. I also don’t really like kidney beans much but I’m not a fussy eater but important to mention as because of this I didn’t want to finish them all.

Avocado tasted like it was pre sliced and frozen, and the hollandaise was disappointing, most definitely a carton, Luckally the dish was wet enough and didn’t need any more sauce.

Overall can really see the potential for this cute little brunch spot. Food just let it down for me.

Would go back for drinks but give the...

Food - absolutely 10/10, really high quality ingredients and cooked to perfection, couldn’t fault anything about the actual breakfast. But, if you’re going to serve such amazing quality products WHY are you serving really cheap, vinegar-y ketchup along side!!!! Everyone loves a bit of ketchup with their full English, being given horrible ketchup to go with a lovely breakfast is a proper let down.

Service - staff were very ‘care free, chill vibe’, which was kind of nice until they didn’t use an order pad to take our order and both breakfasts were served with mistakes. You might think you look cool remembering two breakfast orders, but you’re only cool if you can actually remember them correctly. Also service was very slow.

Atmosphere - atmosphere was lovely. Really relaxing space, nice lighting & decor. And it wasn’t too loud either.

Overall it was great, tasty food &...

Visited after trying to get into a couple of other places which were already full, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as this place is a little gem. They were incredibly busy when we arrived, but luckily they have extra seating in the establishment next door. There was a good range of options on the menu and we opted for the Cowgirl and French Toast with Miso Caramel and Banana. Both dishes were delicious and incredibly generous portion wise which kept us full for our day exploring Nottingham. The coffee was also very good. My only critique would be we were seated in the window and after ordering I think they may have forgotten us as we waited over an hour for our food, and noticed tables who entered after us being served first, not too sure what happened there. Overall a very good experience and would...

I previously dined here with friends a few years back and loved the concept of a Yolk centric menu. With that in mind, we were walking through Hockley to which I recommended Yolk to which I was pleased I did. She had the Woodland which consists of truffled mushrooms, wilted spinach, eggs on sourdough toast served with hollandaise sauce. As a mushroom fanatic, she absolutely loved her brunch choice. As for me, I had the Royale which is smoked salmon, wilted spinach and poached eggs on toasted English muffins served with hollandaise sauce. It was equally as delicious and we loved the meal. In terms of the service, it was prompt, helpful and efficient which is exactly what we needed for a sisterly brunch so we could focus on the Yap part. We would highly recommend and likely return another time with more friends or sisters.

Do you like eggs for breakfast? This is your place! We went on a Sunday at around 10am, it wasn't full so we sat down without waiting. Basically you choose the style you want your eggs cooked, the bread, as many toppings as you want and voilà, you have your order done. My scrambled eggs, with salmon & avocado with sauce on the side were delicious. My gf went for bagel but they didn't have any so instead they served the eggs on crumpets, which is absolutely fine but I think they should have let her know. We also had a cappuccino and a tea. In the end we paid £22 which is really good for Hockley, good quality food and ingredients and very nice and attentive staff. We will totally go again but probably on a warm day as my gf felt the place was a bit cold.
