Was really looking forward to trying this place. I had avocado and beans on sourdough with poached eggs. A coffee Bon Bon, which was really good. Service was a little slow but a small place and busy so understandable. Food didn’t take long to come out as well as the coffee. Server was friendly and had a nice vibe about him, as well as the atmosphere and decor. Eggs cooked well, beans was tasty with a distinctive cumin flavour, I’d say a diffrent flavour would be better appreciated to the dish. I also don’t really like kidney beans much but I’m not a fussy eater but important to mention as because of this I didn’t want to finish them all.
Avocado tasted like it was pre sliced and frozen, and the hollandaise was disappointing, most definitely a carton, Luckally the dish was wet enough and didn’t need any more sauce.
Overall can really see the potential for this cute little brunch spot. Food just let it down for me.
Would go back for drinks but give the...
Read moreFood - absolutely 10/10, really high quality ingredients and cooked to perfection, couldn’t fault anything about the actual breakfast. But, if you’re going to serve such amazing quality products WHY are you serving really cheap, vinegar-y ketchup along side!!!! Everyone loves a bit of ketchup with their full English, being given horrible ketchup to go with a lovely breakfast is a proper let down.
Service - staff were very ‘care free, chill vibe’, which was kind of nice until they didn’t use an order pad to take our order and both breakfasts were served with mistakes. You might think you look cool remembering two breakfast orders, but you’re only cool if you can actually remember them correctly. Also service was very slow.
Atmosphere - atmosphere was lovely. Really relaxing space, nice lighting & decor. And it wasn’t too loud either.
Overall it was great, tasty food &...
Read moreVisited after trying to get into a couple of other places which were already full, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as this place is a little gem. They were incredibly busy when we arrived, but luckily they have extra seating in the establishment next door. There was a good range of options on the menu and we opted for the Cowgirl and French Toast with Miso Caramel and Banana. Both dishes were delicious and incredibly generous portion wise which kept us full for our day exploring Nottingham. The coffee was also very good. My only critique would be we were seated in the window and after ordering I think they may have forgotten us as we waited over an hour for our food, and noticed tables who entered after us being served first, not too sure what happened there. Overall a very good experience and would...
