Should be renamed MingingDonalds. Ordered the Galaxy Caramel Hot Chocolate and the Terry's Chocolate Orange Pie.
If there was a reason to never spend another penny at a McDonald's, this would be it and I wont be returning to another McDonald's for the rest of my life.
Considering the place was completely empty, it took the staff about 20 minutes to make a hot chocolate from a machine.
Poor girl in the back was the only one doing any work while the other 3 swanned about, 1 of them too busy chatting up the other member of staff which she obviously fancies and the other guy talking to a mate he obviously knew for 20 minutes about how his week was. How professional.
For some unfathomable reason the just eat orders get priority while the orders from visiting customers get second place.
Sounds a great way to lose customers.
McDonald's , if you want a just eat ordering system, don't have a full scale restaurant with nobody in it.
Receipt machine didn't work on the self order screens.
I ordered two curries and pint in busy Wetherspoons and it arrived quicker.
The hot chocolate came without any cream or sprinkles like the picture, just diabetic coma inducing caramel sauce water. Delicious. Not.
The Terry's Chocolate Orange Pie tasted like cardboard with synthetic tasting chocolate sauce.
For anyone reading, I would recommend doing yourself a favour, save your money and never visit a McDonald's. I only occasionally visit them in a food emergency (usually during travelling places) and the food used to be ok and prices reasonable but now everything is disgusting and costs a fortune. We only went because last year the galaxy hot chocolate was nice. This year was not and will never be returning.
The restaurant itself can't decide whether to be a drive through or a restaurant. There are that many cars in the pedestrian only area picking up just eat orders that it is dangerous as a pedestrian.
I think the council should just reinstate a road through the center, it would make the place safer. It's like...
Read moreI have to mention that this restaurant is good for collection and dining-in and best place inside the Asda Super store entrance and very close to bus depot and railway station. Appears to maintain the standards of Mc Donald's quality of food and serving. I am very happy to be as a customer for that.
Anyhow I have to comment on some other down sides at this store. As far as a customer, some times, I have to wait a long time unnecessarily, but food is prepared and waiting for collection and staff not caring about customers are waiting. And also in some cases food orders are on screen showing ready for collection, but when I've asked, the reply was still preparing. I am still so confused about, why it appears on the display screen is ready for collection. Observing it for a long time and making a comment here. Hope I will...
Read moreOnly a 2 star. Yes, your food is nice. The service is not too bad.
The reason for 2 stars is the fact you wheel your dirty bins and trolleys through the restaurant while you are busy.
I do have photos, and I think this is not acceptable, and there is no excuse or reason this should happen.
You wheel out your kitchen rubbish in a dirty bin, through a busy restaurant. you then go to your outside bin to empty said bin, which is also dirty, then back through the busy restaurant. I think this is disgusting.
I have approached a shift leader/manager who has said it's the only way they can be emptied and didn't look that bothered. This keeps happening.
You must be able to do something about this. You must have an exit through the kitchen. If not, it looks like there are more HSE rules being...
