Visited the Wetherspoons in Oadby on a Thursday evening and had a great experience. It had a good level of buzz without being too busy. The weather was nice and with all the big doors open, it gave the place a light and open feel. There were a few large groups in, but everyone kept to their own spaces and the atmosphere stayed relaxed and friendly. Drinks were cheap, with loads of offers available, and service was fast. There's a surprisingly good selection of wines, cocktails, and spirits for such a casual spot. Definitely recommend if you're after something quick, local, and affordable. It’s a great spot to meet friends for casual drinks in a laid-back setting.

About three miles from the city centre you'll find this busy Wetherspoon s. Lots of older clientele and fewer students compared to the city centre one's. Very cosy inside with a real fire, nice carpet and low ceiling. Unlike most of the other pubs in the chain this one is a new build

Visited twice in the last couple of weeks , I had my usual large mixed grill on both occasions. This chef should be showing others how it's done. The meats on each occasion were lovely , which is a first. Working in the area for the next month so will be back. Great work guys...

I used to go regularly to this place and it had a really great vibe, and they need the Sofas back. At least the Sourpuss Sarah has gone! I did not go to this bar as they had an issue serving Indian people in particular. I raised this complaint with them and to JDs and noted they have CCTV, so I said look at the CCTV and they said that thier CCTV was not operational on that particular day! They also stated the person who gave such applling service Sarah who was there was not thier. I asked them to look at the attendance but they said they had lost the log, and till operator number! I just did not go for nearly 14 years and at the insistance of a friend I went and saw I had not missed anything! What a terrible place it has become. The demographics of Oadby have changed and it is now a 60% Indian area so I hope they afford some respect and dignity and do not serve Indians like second...

I visited for breakfast on 11 October after a few days in Leicester with my disabled teenage son and other family. The youngish manager with the red hair was so lovely. We had quite a big order, but she was super patient and went through the order with us at the end just to make sure it was correct, which we really appreciated. She saw us on our way out and asked how the food was, again which we thought was really lovely. Other staff checked on us throughout our breakfast and were also great. Wish I could say the same about the other woman on the bar…blonde hair with bits of pink in. She was beyond rude, kept interrupting the other girl when she was taking customer orders, asking her a ton of questions when she was quite clearly in the middle of something and interrupting customer service. Not a great look for...

A nice spacious atmosphere but standards seem to have slipped a bit recently. I used to visit quite regularly before the pandemic and considered it one of the best Wetherspoon pubs in Britain with regards to cleanliness, service, food quality etc.

Unfortunately not quite as good on my recent visit. Several menu items including chicken mains and one draught beer were unavailable. They didn't have any of the sauces to accompany the food, and the toilets didn't have any working dryers, and were generally not in a good state of repair. There was also quite a lot of mess in the toilets considering it was not very busy and early afternoon.

On the plus side, the pizza was cooked particularly well (not underdone like most), the beer was served in the correct glasses, and the staff were...
