Khalsa veggie hut — Restaurant in Oadby and Wigston

I heard of Khalsa Veggie Hut from a family member and decided to try it. I went in store and found the staff to be really friendly and welcoming.

Being Panjabi and Vegan, I was intrigued to see what options they served that could accommodate me. The owner of the restaurant came out and then went through some of the items - in the end she prepared a Amritsar Kulcha to a vegan recipe (served with Sholay - chickpeas) and it was delicious! The food was freshly made and I was made aware of the time it will take to prepare and I was not disappointed.

We also tried the Chicken Style (Soya) burger and that was so good with their fries. Really enjoyed that too.

The food, the service, the restaurant itself - all amazing. We will definitely be back and will tell all of our friends and family, in fact some family collected the Kulcha yesterday due to our recommendation haha!

I bring my mum here at least once a week, it’s become our special spot for enjoying a hearty, homely meal together. The prices are very reasonable for the generous portions and quality you get, which makes it even better.

I genuinely believe this is one of the best restaurants I have ever visited. The warmth and friendliness of the staff and the owner made me feel truly welcomed and valued, which enhanced my overall experience.

The food was absolutely delightful. I ordered Amritsari kulcha, and it was simply exceptional, capturing the perfect balance of flavours. Being from Norwich, I have missed the taste of authentic Indian food, and this dish brought me so much joy.

On another occasion, I had pizza, and it was equally satisfying—delicious and perfectly baked.
