Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Oldham

Took a trip to oldham with my dad and we popped to Costa for dinner. I could not fault the service from Alex, Abbie, Chris and Mia! To start with I know that either Mia or Abbie were new and she served us with great entheausiasm and great efficiency. Chris treated his staff so well and praised them and encouraged them which was lovely to see. Either Mia or abbie asked If we wanted our toasties done on the same pan and this is great too, shows that they care for the customer Last but not least Alex! what a gentleman with a great heart and a kind soul, greeting everyone and asking about their day, this makes it such a lovely environment. Alex even said to the older customers that he would bring the drinks to their table and went as far as to tell people in the queue that he would do the same for them also. I went with my Daughter she bought us a medium Latte each and ordered me some toast, we were sat chatting when i realised we were halfway through our coffee and my toast hadn't come, my daughter went to see what had happened and came back with two free Latte's apparently the young woman doing the food order had missed the toast for some reason. You may wonder why i gave it 4 stars then the reason was the young man in charge couldn't apologise enough he kept popping over to see if we were okay and each time he said he was sorry about the mix up, he more than made up for the mistake and all the other times we've been in there its been clean friendly and service has been spot on. New store in Town Square shopping centre facing body care. Tables not cleared of previous peoples dining or wiped. Floor dirty in areas. Visited at 1.40pm 3 staff behind counter, 1 of which new assistant manager with a bad attitude. Very slow customer service. Face like a wet weekend!! Needs lessons in customer service and how to smile.... Long wait for service & drinks & food. Clear & clean your own tables. Drinks wrong when finally got them had to go back again to counter. Shame because the old Costa was nice, more friendly & cosy. Hopefully it will get better. Send the Manager from the Hollonwood costa to sort this place out. He will soon have it...
