Great pub! Thelandlord and landlady always down and around chatting to the regulars and customers and all the bar staff are very welcoming and friendly , when we go in the lady on the bar remembers what we have and always happy to help . Dog friendly which is all a very big positive for me and my husband,oh and obviously our golden doodle. The beer is always spot on and a good range and choice of draught and bottle beers and spirits. All facilities are spotlessly clean ,also great outside space front and back and a spacious car park . However what attracts us the most is the food , it’s five star absolutely spot on everything we have had from the great menu!!! Has been delicious and the chef , self taught by the way, is lovely bubbly and friendly and goes out of her way to check on you and makes sure everything is ok, she’s always walking around the pub laughing and chatting to everyone. I can’t fault the heart warming atmosphere this pub has to offer . It’s a ten out of ten for us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A great addition to the 2024 Good Beer Guide and the cask ale is so cheap, they even knock a further 30p off a pint for CAMRA members. Well worth staggering your 🚃 journey into town and calling in for a pint or two.

Nice pub. It was a bit cold on the night but soon warmed up. Nice pint of Landlord. Four real ales on. Pizzas look spot on. Will be back to try one and another pint of Timmy Taylor's.

Good to see it's been 'refurbished and given another chance. Basically my second home as a kidd growing up. Glass collecting. Pulling pints. Changing the kegs. Loved it. My dad's second home haha back in the good old days. Real good memories and good times. Good to see it up n running again as a pub.. Keep up the good...

Recently had a family wake at the Railway. Derek, Sarah and Debbie were great hosts. The service was great and the food provided by Debbie was amazing. Very good value for money. Ideally positioned next to the motorway and has plenty of free parking. I would recommend to anyone organising a party or...
