I took my family here for my husbands birthday we arrived and the waiter came over to take our drink order then a second waiter arrived to take our food order he was being very rude concerning my autistic sons bald head saying oh my god the sun is bouncing off it I am blinded ( how rude) he then did this again later he also made a sarcastic comment on my grandsons lack of travel ā¦havenāt you ever been on a lads holiday !!! Havent you ever been to Greece !!.. I was biting my tongue not happy with comments like that to your paying customers. Starters arrived very quickly closely followed by our main without clearing starter plates first so then we had to wait for cutlery ā¦not one staff member asked if our food was satisfactory which it wasnāt it tasted like frozen thrown in the fryer food ā¦main course was definitely lacking ā¦mixed grill was tough as old boots chips just as bad ⦠we didnāt bother complaining as it was very apparent the staff wouldnāt have cared a fig !!..overall the staff need some serious re training you do not make personal comments about customers I would sack my staff for this .. I own a restaurant and my staff would not dream of doing this nor would we serve over cooked food nor would we ever not do a table check overall rubbish I will never return and you seriously should think twice before you try this restaurant rude staff...

From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was inviting, and the staff exuded warmth and hospitality.Let's start with the star of the show - the food. Every dish was a symphony of flavors, bursting with freshness and authenticity. The portion sizes were incredibly generous, ensuring that no diner left hungry. What's more, the option to take home leftovers was a thoughtful touch, allowing us to savor the delectable flavors all over again. The staff's attentiveness was commendable, as they catered to our every need with a smile. Despite the bustling atmosphere, there was no pressure to purchase additional drinks or desserts, allowing us to enjoy our meal at our own pace. One aspect that truly stood out was the absence of a service charge, a rarity in many dining establishments. This gesture exemplifies the restaurant's commitment to providing top-notch service without hidden fees.In conclusion, if you're craving authentic Greek cuisine served with a side of exceptional hospitality, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. Bravo to the team for setting the bar high in both service and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAcropolis in Headington is one of our go to places to eat out in Oxford. We have been many times and have enjoyed it every time. The food is excellent, well presented, cooked to perfection and with a wide variety of flavours. We often order a number of starters (as we do particularly like the choice Acropolis offers) and then share a main. This works really well for us, and we always leave feeling satisfied, if not a little on the full side! The staff have always been brilliant, they are friendly, approachable and attentive. In todays visit we ended up talking to one of the staff who recognised us from previous visit, we talked about food and holidays among other things. The restaurant is warm, inviting, and decorated with Greek photos, statues, and a rather impressive fish tank under the bar. In the summer the front is completely opened up to allow in summer air and provide some tables on the street side. Thank you for todays meal, we look forward to the next one! In particular, thank you for the saganaki which isnāt current on the menu, but we mentioned in passing (to enquire if it would come back on the menu at some point) and behold, a few moments later it arrived on our table. We felt both a little cheeky and well looked after at the same...
