Disappointing Experience:
Our recent visit to Asian Mama left us utterly disappointed and frustrated, as nearly every aspect of our dining experience fell short of expectations. From the lackluster decor to the appalling service, it was a regrettable outing from start to finish.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately struck by the cheap and uninspiring decor, which set an underwhelming tone for the evening. The service was equally lackluster, with our waiter displaying a concerning lack of knowledge about the menu. Their misguided recommendations led to confusion and dissatisfaction as we struggled to make informed choices.
Our frustrations only intensified as our orders were inexplicably cancelled halfway through the ordering process, leaving us bewildered and hungry. To add insult to injury, the kitchen abruptly closed while we were still attempting to place our orders, a shocking display of disregard for customer satisfaction.
In summary, our experience was marred by incompetence and neglect on multiple fronts. We left feeling thoroughly disappointed and disheartened, with no...
Read moreAs a Chinese customer, I felt deeply discriminated against during my visit to this restaurant. After a long day at work, I hoped to enjoy a pleasant meal, but from the moment I walked in, the staff’s glances were anything but welcoming. This place requires payment upfront, so I ordered a pork rice noodle soup. While my meal eventually arrived, the tap water I requested never did. When I politely asked, "Where is my tap water?" a middle-aged male employee with glasses became visibly irritated and proceeded to lecture me on manners. It was shocking—I didn’t come here to be chastised by the staff.
This experience left me questioning whether I was treated this way because of my race. It was truly outrageous, and I am extremely upset. I will not return, nor do I recommend this place to any other Chinese customers. As for the £9.40 rice Ho Fun—it was underwhelming, with a small portion and nothing special to note. Is business in Oxford so successful that a restaurant can afford to treat its customers with such arrogance and...
Read moreI always have a meal there with my friends so I already tried a lot of dishes in that restaurant before. But recently, they have changed the menu and it seems they tend to have more traditional Chinese dishes, such a good change! As a HongKonger, I don't usually eat spicy food but their new SzeChuan soup noodles make me surprised and very satisfied! I ordered fish ball soup vermicelli which was freshly cooked with chilli, coriander and beansprouts. It's delicious and quite a big portion for me! I also like fish ball a lot so I'm so happy that they now have this option for the soup noodles. One more thing, the staff is very nice (I think he is the owner...) and he said ramen would be more delicious with the SzeChuan soup base. I will try it next time and recommend it...
