We went in and asked if they served breakfast and if they had gluten free options, they said "yes" (not much else, I am not convinced the woman we spoke to had actually understood).

We sat down but the only items obviously GF from the menu were two cakes. We asked if anything else was. The waitress (a different, more helpful woman) went to speak to the chef and told us our options were the Jacob's breakfast with gluten free bread and veggie sausages, salads and I think something else. It was all a bit unclear.

If you can serve gluten free bread then why don't just say it in the menu? It also seemed a bit odd that our only option was the biggest breakfast plate. Surely I can have just an egg too? We left and bought some snacks in Waitrose and then went into town.

It's a real shame as before the pandemic we used to get delicious GF pizza and burgers from this place, the menu was clear and they seemed more "on it". Perhaps they changed owner and it's more like your average pub now. Although there is a Greene King down London Road which is probably cheaper too.

Disappointing.
