Treatz — Restaurant in Oxford

Went there yesterday and was served by a teenager (clearly his first job) Tried to order a soft drink which they didn’t have, waiter said there was only sprite and then came back saying there was only J2O. We then ordered and I asked for a apple crumble and he asked the man behind the counter if there was any and the man said yes. He brings my friends dessert out and says they actually don’t have apple crumble. He asks if I want cake instead. I said I’ll look through the menu and he said “ok but it has to be the same price” ( I could tell her was just doing what he was told) when he brings out the cake (which seemed to be my only option) he doesn’t bring any cutlery and by the time I had my dessert my friend had finished hers. To top it off he comes back over and asks if everything is ok and if we would leave a review. I wasn’t initially but here we are. Overall would not recommend it was not busy and they seem to over promise but can’t deliver. I would suggest having a smaller menu if you can’t get your stock right! Also we’re very keen on payment before having the desserts - no welcoming at all! Will happily...

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

I ordered a Strawberry Villa American Pancake, which came with about 1 strawberry, cut between 3 pancakes as shown on the photo (none on the top). Lots of chocolate, could barely taste the pancakes which weren’t great either. Upon asking the server (super sweet guy, could tell he was trying very hard to provide good service but was inexperienced) for more strawberries, as it did not look like the pancake from the menu photos, I was given 3 whole strawberries which was nice of them, but would be better if that was the standard.

We paid £22 for two pancakes and two hot drinks which is an alright price, however the quality of ingredients which they use is very disappointing; slamming melted chocolate on everything does not make it tasty.

We were also asked to pay upfront which I find a bit weird- makes you feel kinda unwelcome I guess.

You can tell the owner has tried to make this parlour more desirable than the one down the road, but I think that will not be possible with such cost cutting.

Went as a family of four and ordered four desserts and two karak teas as well as a jug of water. Upon ordering we was asked who was going to pay to which I said I will and I was made to pay before even receiving the dessert (never been to a restaurant or dessert parlour & asked to pay beforehand). One jug of water and 4 glasses (1 which was still dirty) as well as 3 desserts arrived which included my lotus biscoff waffle which was made of 4 waffles with one waffle being completely plain, this was then rectified shortly after I mentioned it to the waitress. About 10-15 minutes later the fourth dessert arrived after we had pretty much finished the other three (still no signs of the tea). Once the dessert was finished the teas finally arrived (luke warm). Overall disappointed with the service and timing of the dessert and teas. Usually I would expect the drinks at the start and all the desserts to come together, if this wasn’t going to be the case then the staff should’ve let us know it wasn’t as if they were swept...
