We went to manos excited for a tasty wrap and some Greek food. We ordered two wraps. One lamb meat ball and one meat special. It was definitely not special despite it being the highest priced wrap on the menu.
We did ask if the wraps were hot and they said yes. Unfortunately it was not hot it was room temp and that made me a little disappointed.
The meats are in a little plastic tub at the deli bar. I’d advise you ask them for an extra couple of mins in microwave as meats are not made fresh or re grilled. Which normally you could see past if flavour was nice but it was the most bland and tasteless meat wrap I’ve have.
Even the cardboard plate it was served on looked more exciting. The meat was awful and (maybe luckily for me ) the wrap hardly had any meat inside.
No onion, no pickles, nothing to add any flavour or taste to this wrap. You’re better off getting a wrap from Sainsbury opposite the store. I can assure you their sandwiches are much more worth your money and you will be less disappointed
There was no condimetns, no salt no pepper no chilly sauce, no feta in the wrap, just nothing. The flavours were just so so bland.
Disheartened, we took the wrap to port meadow after wasting nearly £20 , hoping the ducks might enjoy it. But after trying to feed it to a whole lineup of birds—ducks, geese, even a couple of curious segulls—not one of them was interested.
Unfortunately manos you ruined our day and the ducks!
If your looking for a good wrap I would recommend any where but here. Unfortunately we left the wrap for a curious cow or a heroic horse willing to...
Read moreWish I could give this place more than 5 stars it is honestly the most underrated lunch stop in Oxford! Usually I go for the falafel or the lamb meatball wrap, with extra feta and extra garlic olives. The wrap comes with fresh salad, humous, cous cous, and tzatziki. I think it is really the freshness of their ingredients that sets this place apart and how much care and attention they put into preparing their wraps, which are always super rich and absolutely delicious. The prices are really reasonable (wrap is usually £5-£6.50 depending on how many extras you get) and you get a very filling meal, so would say it’s great value for money. While their wraps are my go-to, they also have delicious spanakopita, tiropita, papoutsaki (roasted eggplant with rice), dolmades (greek vine leaves), souvlaki, baklava etc. Basically anything you go for should be freshly made and very tasty. They also sell Kalamata olives, and many varieties of feta and olive oil - these can be a bit pricier because they are imported but usually totally worth the price. The store is always filled with fresh fruit and vegetables which look a lot better than anything you’d find in a supermarket so can be a great place to get groceries. Customer service is always quick, kind and welcoming. Coming to Manos is such a delight and I recommend it...
Read moreI am not sure why this place has such good reviews. Yesterday I paid 10 pounds for a lamb meatball wrap and a coke (I wasn’t sure if the waiter was pulling my leg when he told me the price). The restaurant was completely empty, the wrap tasted like it’d had been in the fridge for about a week then heated up in the microwave for one minute. The coke wasn’t very cold.
This place seemed like a place for students to get filling food for cheap but it wasn’t cheap and there were no students in there. I would recommend a kebab truck over this place—cheaper and...
