Pepe's — Restaurant in Oxford

We have ordered rice box with chicken and wanted it to be extra sauce, we have a similar order for couple months ago, they have charged us for extra sauce and was never added or was put less, after I reported they offered me a rice box on house when we order next time and made sure he has written my name down and said I would just need to tell my name and order, team member at Oxford cowley road store did not even bother to check my name and said he would offer me a discount instead. I did not agree to that because it was promised, probably he tried to trick me as he asked for my name but did not check.

I have ordered again and made sure to check open the rice boxes and was like added in pictures, I’ve asked the team member about the extra sauce on our rice he then mentioned that rice absorbed into it and that’s the max they would put for extra sauce, chicken was hard and burnt and I am completely disappointed by their service.

Mentioning about Pepe’s store I’ve previously worked for pepe’s and know how it works and the quality they provide to customers. I have also tried Pepe’s in Aylesbury they understood what a customer requires when they are charging for extra sauce which was satisfying.

Cowley road Pepe’s in Oxford is extremely disgusting in service. I would never order from them again.

The first restaurant I visited after landing from Toronto. Was suggested to me by a friend who lives in the UK. I got the half peri-peri chicken extreme flavour. The food blew away my expectations. It was very spicy just what I wanted!

Coming from Toronto we often visit grilled chicken places like Nandos. Unfortunately most restaurants in Toronto fail to understand and deliver spicy flavours. I go to Nandos and get the extra hot every time but I have to repeat the same instructions (extra hot sauce, extra baste, etc.) and still it fails to meet expectations and it is never spicy enough. Every restaurant I go to its the same story, no spice no flavour.

This was not the case for Pepes. All I had to say was extreme and they delivered. I ended up purchasing a bottle of extreme sauce. I usually take a bottle of nandos extra hot sauce everywhere. This will be my replacement for the next few weeks and I can have a bit of Pepes everywhere I go. Then I unfortunately will have to go back to my usual nandos sauce.

Hoping one day Pepes will come to Toronto too (if you do come please don't downgrade your spicy standards, extreme should stay extreme even if people are unable to eat it there are lots of people like...

I had one of my worst experiences with them.They are pathetically unprofessional people.I had ordered with them online ,rather than doing the delivery they never brought the food.And when I called them they said they tried to call me,which they never did. And they asked me to pat another delivery charges which is unfair when they never tried to deliver.When j declined they wouldn't even have decency to pay back.They just kept all the money from the order. I would highly recommend to never order from them because of their behaviour

No, I never asked to change my delivery address.Dont say things which I never said.What I had asked was why I wasn't called when the delivery person had reached at my place and on the first place why was the food not left at the door as I had requested for , to which you guys said you don't leave food at door.When your delivery person had done that yesterday.
