I was initially quite taken with the ātile shopā The beer was well kept and they obviously had a great knowledge on local breweries. The atmosphere is a little odd, a mixture between a living room a cafe and a bar. Unfortunately when some ālocalsā arrived the landlords attitude changed. I suddenly felt unwelcome, turns out I shouldnāt be talking on my phone outside sat at a table⦠certainly not about my medical issues. I was having a final relaxing pint before the operation tomorrow and the moment was ruined. I am about to have my hip removed for a third time in 2 months. The landlord was requesting I āstand up and walk across the road to talkā not particularly sympathetic to my battered hip⦠To summarise the beer was great! But unfortunately the atmosphere was odd when I arrived, by the time I left it was toxic. Maybe I was over sensitive, but I feel that it couldāve been communicated a lot more gently. Disappointed as I feel the place had potential. I saw no signage in the bar regarding no phones, and was actually encouraged to answer my phone when I was talking to the landlord stood at the bar.
