Whistle Stop Cafe — Restaurant in Portsmouth

Very rude. Went in there for a coffee the other morning and asked for coconut milk. I got "is it preference or allergy?" In fact it is preference but then got told "oh great, you'll be the only one to want that today so we'll have to throw the whole carton away". They proceeded to make my very expensive coffee and I went to pay using my debit card. The card machine then showed £30 had been entered, when the coffee was £3.75. I made the lady aware of this and got told "well we should charge you that for the use of the coconut milk", whilst other staff just stood laughing. Absolutely awful customer service. If you have a 'dietary' requirement, avoid this café because they won't appreciate you're request. In this instance, small businesses are not always better than...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The previous and amazing owners sold this place in july to the current owners. Since then the food quality has gone down the prices have gone up and overall its just shocking. They will run this place into the ground they shouldn’t be allowed to run what was once a brilliant cafe. They should also Be made to change the name as taking on a reputation and then ruining is not on. What a lovely little find. Super quality bacon and sausage baguettes (amongst other breakfast items) made from good ingredients (not the usual cheap stuff) Lovely latte, service with a smile on did i mention dog friendly?! And to top it off all for just under six quid. Highly recommended
