Hartleys Wine Bar — Restaurant in Preston

Ordered a pint of Neck Oil which tasted like line cleaner. Took it back to the bar tender who seemed like the owner and was told it tastes fine as it is a new barrell and we've sold 15 pints today. Obviously I drank it however customer service skills=0. Fingers crossed no adverse effects 🤞

To reply to your comment I have had probably over 100 pints of Neck Oil as is the reason why I ordered it. I wasn't going to return it however after my friends tried it and thought the same I felt I should, especially considering the price at £5.80. To be honest I wouldn't have left a review had you not been so dismissive and abrupt however I think future customers should be made of aware of the service they may receive.

Went out round Preston 6 weeks ago and finished up in Hartleys around tea time. Pub was busy with a great atmosphere and Soul/Motown music playing. Went in yesterday 10th June around the same time. What a change. There was hardly anyone in and the 2 guys who appeared to be running the place were sat at the end of the bar drinking pints. As we were sat having our drink a few more people came in and it seemed to be an effort to get up off the bar stool and serve them. There was also 3 girls came in and just went to use the toilet. On their way out one of the guys shouted you could at least buy a drink. Disappointed in how it seemed to have changed so quickly. Also the music playing was rubbish. I have been an on off customer for a few years now, but stopped coming about 9 months ago I came in and the people that were running it were horrible and nasty. Noticed on the Facebook page that it is now under new management, popped in on Saturday 27th April and the place was busy and the atmosphere was great, place was clean and the new landlord was very polite and informative of what offers he had on and what his plans were for the place in the near future. Looking forward to the kitchen being reopened and future upcoming events and offers. You have just won yourself another customer back.
