We are regular customer at Nando's and always had a good experience but tonight me, my wife and my son went for dinner and had a bad experience with food and service. I ordered a new deal with full chicken and some extras with drinks and then I thought of ordering half chicken more. I went back to the table and saw that there were four portions 2 legs and 2 breast pieces but the breast portions was like half of the portion and missing the wing bits. When I informed one of the Employees, he said that he'll get another breast piece for us, we were nearly finishing the food and a lady named Ellie came and said that's the way chicken is, when I showed the chicken portion, she said she can't do anything as there is nothing wrong. I insisted her that it's not the way it always is as we are regular customers and I know the food portions and serving. She still insisted that everything is perfect, even when I told her that I'm not happy with that, she just said sorry and can't do anything with it, like turning a deaf era to my complaint. I repeated multiple times that I'm happy with this but she ignored my complaint and made me feel that I'm wrong. I believe that this lady Ellie was new in her position or was just covering from someone but could have handled the situation better. This is the worst experience we have ever had at Nandos. I wish I would not have dined at Nanod's especially at this occasion. I believe if it was someone else instead of her, they could have handled it better than her, as in the past if we ever had any Issues, it was always resolved immediately in a very good manner. I would again say that this was the worsted experience and my wife and son felt embarrassed on this occasion. I don't feel like visiting Nando's again after all this treatment, I'm very disappointed and was put off. I would not encourage anyone to visit this branch specially if there are inexperienced people or on purpose people who purposely turns a deaf ear to customers...
Read moreWalked into this particular Nandos, waited to be seated, but ended up seating ourselves as the majority of wait staff and cook staff were busy chatting over the bar/food service counter. Anyway, a person peeled her way away from the group to casually ask if we'd been to Nandos before "yes we have", "ok" was the reply and that was the most interaction we got from her or any member of staff. Went to counter to order food, again waited whilst I was ignored by 2 members of the team, until a tall young lad couldn't ingore me any longer and had to finish his conversation with the grill cook, to basically with the speed of a slug take my order, no sorry about the wait, let's discuss the weather, or how he hated his job (which he clearly did), he inputted my order, handed me my receipt and that was the extent of our interaction as he was clearly more concerned finishing his in-depth conversation with the young lady grill cook. The food arrived, but not before another member of staff clearly about to start his shift walked in and again all the staff again congregated around the food passe, Yadda Yadda Yadda, until another customer went to the counter to find out where his tables meal was, they split up like a well rehearsed dance company who I'll call "No eye contact". Eventually our food arrived, food ok not expecting bells & whistles luckily, but not before the young man (Slug) behind the counter didn't actually move in the 1hr we were there except to get in the way of the grill cook. All in all Nandos not your best day or...
Read moreAbsolutely Appalling Hygiene Standards – A Serious Health Concern
Visited Nando’s on 02/04/2025 at 13:50, and what I witnessed in the kitchen was beyond unacceptable. A member of staff was attempting to open a drawer for sweet corn using his foot, unable to do so properly, then proceeded to use the same food tongs to pry it open—the very tongs meant for handling customer food! Without any attempt to sanitize them, he then used these contaminated tongs to pick up and serve sweet corn.
This is a shocking violation of hygiene standards and an outright disregard for customer safety. Such careless behavior raises serious concerns about food handling practices at this location. It is utterly unacceptable for a food establishment to allow such negligence, and it makes one question whether staff are properly trained in basic hygiene protocols.
This matter demands immediate action—strict hygiene enforcement, retraining of staff, and disciplinary measures against those responsible. If this is the standard behind the scenes, one can only imagine the wider implications for food safety here. I will not be returning unless I see a serious commitment to proper food hygiene. Health inspectors should...
