From the outset, the experience was unwelcoming. We were shown to our table without so much as a greeting, and no one made an effort to check in or assist us further. I have a child with specific dietary requirements, and I approached the bar to ask for guidance, as your menu does not indicate gluten-free options. The staff member I spoke to was noticeably unhelpful and dismissive, telling me, “I can’t advise what you can have.” While I understand staff may not be able to give medical advice, I was simply asking how I could identify suitable options — and the lack of support made this unnecessarily difficult and stressful.
The food itself was okay, but certainly not enough to compensate for the poor service.
More seriously, I took my 2-year-old to the baby changing area and was shocked to find the table broken. My child fell — thankfully into my arms — but this could have resulted in serious injury. There was no warning or signage to indicate the table was unsafe, and there was no time to secure the strap due to its broken condition.
When I raised this with a manager, I was met with a dismissive attitude and asked, “What do you want me to do?” He then involved the General Manager, who simply offered an apology and seemed to expect that to be the end of it. When I explained that this response wasn’t enough, he raised his eyebrow as though I was being unreasonable, and told me to contact head office.
At this point, I was managing a distressed two-year-old and an autistic child, both upset by what had happened. The lack of empathy, support, and responsibility shown by the staff only added to an already stressful situation.
This experience was unacceptable on multiple levels — from poor customer service, lack of accessibility around dietary needs, and most importantly, a serious health and safety concern involving a young child. I do not feel I was treated with care or respect, and I believe this issue requires further investigation and a formal response, not just a...

where to start. Cleanliness..... tables filthy and was sat down before the table was sorted. Other tables empty and marks and food everywhere. Outside tables full off plates and bowls everywhere. Cutlery arrived and was covered in crumbs, took them back and asked for more where the manageress was putting napkins around fresh cutlery and even they were dirty. Wine glasses filthy and pint tastedvlike line fluid. Left it and ordered a lemonade and the glass smells of grease.
Staff, manageress as mentioned above, then served by a girl who didn't want to be at work then a lad helping her serve who had the personality of cardboard. Mad us all feel so unwelcome. One girl serving at the bar so que across other people's tables.
Food, Average at best with only half of us liking the food. Example the daughters chicken sandwich the bun was burnt, dirty fries had hardly any toppings, almost just fries with a side dip. Parts of order served late and other parts we had to ask for as they forgot to bring them. Tomato missing from big breakfast, onion rings missing off another plate, extra bread and butter for toast.
Time. Meals took 45 minutes to arrive which when the place wasn't even a 3rd full was slow. We moved to play pool where as above the table was just awful with drinks glasses and ice cream tubs laid everywhere. Friends ordered coffees and 35 minutes later they arrived.
Poor overall. However we have been before a couple years back and that's why we went this time, but after this last visit I and others with me will not return.
This was lucky to get a 1 star but wouldn't...
Read moreMy son was invited to a party here during the sen session yesterday 21.01.2024 with his friends we ordered food but was told they don't serve it in the warehouse over the weekend so we had to split it my husband when in the restaurant with the other kids and I waited with my son in the wacky warehouse as I couldn't leave him but this policy needs looking at cause what was I to do if I was a single mum and I have health problems as well I am diabetic so have to eat small and often and I can't leave my son either on his own while I eat and then when they finished I went in to eat my food wasn't warm by this time and it wasn't very nice either I don't think that we will be coming here again none of really enjoyed the food at all and this is the 2nd time I have been here and had problems now. So I won't be coming here again. You offer a session for sen children but you also need to think of the parents and other factors that are involved in this like serving food into the wacky warehouse it would be helpful and wouldn't cause distress to the children who are in the session and the parent could maybe enjoy a bit of food it is clear that who ever thought of that policy doesn't have a child wither extra needs or what it takes to be sen parent as this wouldn't of been and issue and you should of been able to accommodate knowing that we have enough on with our children so having a nice warm meal delivered to the table with no stress and eating as a family would of been instead of...
