When I think about how Gregg’s was, I first of all thought about my friend Greg who has an incredible nicotine addiction, a love of fantasy novels and an affection for saying the things that can’t be said. Not really. But he’s Greg. Cheeky but a lovely warm heart. Like a sausage roll maybe. So now we’re back to the Gregg’s with a double g. This is pastry addiction and a habit that about 47% of the clientele I saw in there wished to hide. I saw their eyes. Yet there is still that warm centre. Sometimes too warm, saw one elderly woman nearly scold herself on an unidentifiable slice of something akin to the sun or the residue of a recently exploded volcano. Staff were wonderful. Pastry was absolutely everywhere. Reminded me of working at Wright’s Pies for a day in 1997 before being fired for not wanting to clean out the oven. Read moreWalked into this shop yesterday and was greeted and served by a young lad who I think was called either Jagdeep or Jaydeep can’t quite remember his name however, he was very friendly and fast with his service but also very patient as I have a stutter and he did not once make me feel low for not having the normal speaking ability, I was giving up and was about to write my order due to taking so long however he encouraged me to speak up and not limit myself and thanks to him I am feeling a lot more confident in my speaking, honestly such a brilliant team of individuals as they are all So welcoming and friendly in this store will always be...

Pointed out they have an actual microwave there but told they "aren't allowed to". Clearly something wrong with the heating of the trays. Only offered a fresh one which would take a 20 minute wait.
