KFC Reading - Shinfield Road — Restaurant in Reading

KFC food is great and generally consistent across their outlets. Unfortunately my experience of this normally very busy mainly take-away KFC that has only a few bar stoll places to eat at, is that robots could probably do a better job of assembling the burgers, and the staff don't seem to have worked out how their cooking timers work, as my chips are often limp and the chicken a bit too crunchy. I once visited on a weekday lunch with my kid to be met by the slow careless service that we have unfortunately come to expect and ignore in this country. So after too long queueing and eventually being served, we came away with a bag we only had a passing relationship with and a feeling of infectious depression. Also a warning: After you reach the comfort of your car, park bench or office, you may only then discover that there's no ketchup for your over salted fries and no milk for your coffee. I’ll start this review by saying I very much enjoy the KFC menu but this visit was a poor one. I went specifically to try the new Vegan burger. Visited around midday on a Sunday and when ordering the vegan burger the server said there was a £1.99 deal on the sandwich so I took him up on the offer. I also ordered a hot wing snack box as I had an offer on my reward card. He then went on to tell me when trying to finish the order that he couldn’t offer me any deal as ‘they were offline’. Apparently this an issue with KFC not syncing to their tills but why offer something to me if your systems are down!? I still decided to have the vegan burger but said can I have my stamp on my reward card. This again was a flat no as the ‘systems were offline’. I gave up and left through annoyance of being offered something I couldn’t have, and then whilst willing to pay full price for the item but not accepting my reward card I was just very frustrated. In conclusion I went to another local store which was ‘online’ and got my reward...

Ordered the triple Christmas deal chicken,wings,boneless,gravy,chips and it has made me and my misses so ill!! This isn't the first time either I almost took the day off work because I had it coming out both ends all day vomiting and bad belly and so did my misses do not recommend and never will the reading forbury one is also just as bad the chips were so undercooked was basically chewing on a raw potato and the chicken 🤢 i wish I never went near any of it its made me that ill I ate it because I was hungry but iv learned my lesson do not buy from here unless you wanna be lent over your toilet spewing your guts up like us 🤢 this place should never be allowed to serve food again im not the only one iv had people tell me to stay away from there and the reading forbury one before and wish I had listened you have...
