The overall experience was not particularly enjoyable. A few waitresses and waiters were rude and unhelpful. When we asked how long our food was going to take, we were given an insincere response that as we were one of the last tables to order, weād have to wait longer. Our food took 40 minutes to arrive, and when it did our orders werenāt right. The chicken was hard and difficult to chew. The extras paid for didnāt arrive and we had to ask about them. It seemed as though it was way too busy in the venue for the amount of staff working and everything just felt it was all over the place. There was only two of us who attended so I canāt imagine how hectic it is for a larger group. We attended a Mamma Mia themed brunch, arriving at 2.30pm (a time slot provided by the venue), the live music set for ABBA ended only 40 minutes into us being there! We paid for a themed brunch and only listened to a few ABBA songs, it was 3pm! Music is way too loud to even communicate with anyone and we had to keep asking the waiters for more drinks. Felt like we didnāt get our Ā£80 worth at all. Drinks were weak, couldnāt taste the alcohol and were served in tiny glasses. There were a few birthdays being celebrated and life events taking place which was lovely for those who were part of this, this made the atmosphere fantastic with lots of dancing and singing. However i think we were both just disappointed that our experience was not very Mamma Mia themed, hardly any ABBA playing and it felt like a standard time at a bar or club. Nothing particularly special about our visit and I wouldnāt recommend. I think to improve in the future the venue needs to work on the structure of the events, delivering food in a timely manner and getting it correct, the quality of customer service and friendliness, and actually keeping to the theme of the brunch for at least the 90 minute duration of the time we had the table, as we booked ABBA for a reason and expected ABBA. Very disappointing, but one positive note we have to mention is the lovely man looking after our table, Nik, who did his best to make our experience as enjoyable as possible and had a very friendly approach - was just a shame that the rest of the experience...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen here twice before for bottomless and again on Saturday. Every time we've been before we managed to get our moneys worth with lots of drinks and great vibes. But on Saturday it was a completely different story.
First off, our group had been split onto two tables quite away from each other, even though my friend contacted them to see the maximum they can take at one table and asked to be sat together (there were 10 of us). So 4 weren't split from the rest of the group we all squeezed in a booth together which was tight. Just think you should be informed prior if your booking isn't going to be sat together.
After sitting down, about 10 mins later a waitress came and we ordered a round of drinks. This round took about 30 mins to arrive and they'd missed one persons drink, we told two different staff members and they still didn't bring them a drink so they never got one that round.
We'd been there for an hour and only had 2 drinks at that point. I spoke to the waitress and said pleasee can we get some more ordered because this is crazy now. But we only ended up having around 4 drinks the whole time. Last time I went we had Lia-Mae serving us and she was amazing! So it's a shame our waitress wasn't the same on Saturday.
Felt a bit ripped off and disappointed as i'd hyped the experience up to the group and it did not match the last two times at all.
DJ was playing great tunes as usual but MC had favourites and only shared mic with them, vibe was just a bit off! But we were already miffed about the lack of drinks.
When bottomless came to an end, I said to the waitress we have had hardly any drinks and all she said was the time is limited so it's done now. My boyfriend had only had 3 drinks at this point (his was missed at the start) so he went to the bar to buy another and the prices are ridiculous. He got 3 vodka lemonades and it was £33!
Really disappointing and would be hesitant to return now, really recommended and hyped this place up after my last two times. Referred to it as 'the best brunch place ever' but now I won't be recommending out of concern the poor service will happen again. Unfortunately, feel ripped off and didn't get a very...

I recently attended a birthday party at Playlist Live in Reading. I had been looking forward to it, as I had heard good things about the venue. However, I was very disappointed with our experience.
We had reserved a table, but when we arrived we were shown to a table right at the back of the venue, near the toilets and away from the live entertainment. The area was dark and dingy, and it lacked all atmosphere. There were at least four other tables in this area, and it was clear that other groups were not enjoying the location either.
We asked to be moved to a different table, but we were told that all the other tables were reserved. We were very disappointed, as we had specifically booked a table in advance.
We stayed for a few drinks, but the atmosphere was so bad that we decided to leave early. We will not be going back to Playlist Live any time soon.
Overall, I would not recommend Playlist Live. The venue is poorly laid out, unless your table is directly in front of the bar, in the first half of the venue the atmosphere is lacking. If you are looking for a fun and lively place to go for a night out, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
Additional comments:
I am particularly concerned by the fact that there were at least four other tables in the same area as us, all of which were occupied by groups who looked like they were not enjoying the location.
I am also disappointed that the staff were unable to move us to a different table, even though we had booked in advance. This suggests that the venue is not customer-focused.
I would like to warn other potential customers about the poor location of some of the tables at Playlist Live. If you are planning to visit, I would recommend booking a table in advance and asking to be seated near the live...
