Today we (a family of five neurodiverse people) escaped KIDNAPPED! This is our 4th Escape room with Escape Reading and once again they didn't disappoint. You can tell instantly this is a independent business by the friendliness and passion presented by the staff, thank you again for today Jacob. We have also escaped from THE RAM RAID, THE AGE OF MAGIC and THE VAMPIRE SLAYER... each room has been brilliant in its own different way, from old school original styled escapes to the more modern styled puzzles so if you have a preference then pick accordingly. Ram Raid and Age of Magic are more modern and creative with the room puzzles while Kidnapped and Vampire Slayers are more search/keys/lock original styled rooms but if like us you enjoy all styles then they are all very very good... it was exactly the traditionally nostalgic escape that made "K" so great, "RR" put a different and interesting spin on escaping and was very well done visually, "VS" has the spooky twist which we loved as "scary" rooms are rare, and "AM" was my personal favourite as visually it was... well magical! Will we go back for their final room? 100% we will! we have had so much fun in each room we cant wait to go back and get "Blown Away" again... see what I did there lol seriously I do genuinely recommend them all and the company itself, with most people in our group having social anxiety Escape Reading made us feel so welcome and comfortable... and excited for the experience / rooms. Also just to note our ages ranged from 11 - 43 so its great for all ages I think, most of us have previously taken part in other escape rooms before finding Escape Reading but having experience here isn't necessary as staff are there ready to prepare you or help if needed. From an accessibility point of view both locations do you have small flights of stairs as does one of the rooms, I have some mobility problems and I managed but wheelchairs could be tricky so I would speak to the staff first...
Read moreI brought my parents and me an escape room for their Christmas presents, and it was such a good idea, I don't normally spend much time with my family but it was so nice being able to work as a team and have some jokes with each other. The escape room itself was really challenging but in the best way possible. I could tell all of the tasks and clues were cleverly and creatively thought about and alot of effort was put into making the experience so good, the room was decorated really well. Our host Emma was absolutely amazing she made sure we knew the aim of the task and asked if we had any questions before we started, we also did need some help along the way as we arnt the cleverest bunch in the world XD and Emma gave us hints that didn't give everything away and we're only given when we really needed it, this made us get less aggravated and made our experience more enjoyable. Emma was so fun and friendly and truly shined, I can tell that she will go far in this world with her bright and bubbly personality. I am very grateful for the experience and I will deffo be coming back...
Read moreThese escape rooms are not too far from broad street mall and close enough to the Hexagon. We went here as part of a team building day. You have the option to choose from 3 escape rooms kidnapped, Vampire slayer and Blown away. I chose to do Blown away as part of a team of 6 who mostly had previously experienced Escape rooms before so understood the concept. We had a choice of normal or difficult one and of course we took the harder option. We had an hour however the staff member allowed another 3 minutes as we were so close and we did finish in 63 mins. The other escape room just have one difficulty and only 2 out of our 3 teams completed the rooms. Apparently the feedback on the other rooms was also great and which escape room you go for depends on which theme appeals to you. You get to take a picture afterwards and the staff were great throughout. I would go again and attempt the other two rooms.Thank you for reading my review and please like if you...
