Great restaurant - Recommended. We have been here a couple of times now and really like it. Previously Tas in North Cheam was the favourite Turkish restaurant but now we have another lead contender. Great atmosphere and excellent service, good food and nice venue. Venue: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Food: 4/5 | Location: 4/5 | Cost: £££ Venue & Atmosphere: 5/5 Exceptionally well presented venue, very smart décor and style, nice music playing in the background and a good atmosphere all round. The front of the restaurant has bi-fold style doors so completely opens up on to a terrace which is excellent in the good weather. Service: 5/5 One of the stand out points of this place is the service we have received every time we have visited. The staff are very personable and knowledgeable, happy to help with recommendations and are attentive to the table and guests throughout the meal. Food & Drink: 4/5 We have had an assortment of their menu; Starters : Babaganush, lamb liver, houmous, filo pastry rolls, sujuk. Mains : spicy chicken thighs, chicken shish, lamb beyti sarma, chicken beyti sarma, mixed grill and the Iskender. All of the food has been great with standout dishes being the Mixed Grill, Lamb Liver and Baklava. The Baklava is EXCEPTIONAL and a must try for anyone who goes! Location & Travel: 4/5 Tail end of Banstead High Street, lot's of parking available and very accessible and easy to spot. Local bus routes stop just outside. Cost: £££ Averagely priced, not the cheapest or most expensive but worth the money spent for the quality, taste and experience.

Not sure how I missed this place all this while, but glad we finally discovered it. Thanks to my son!! Every single dish was very fresh and great to taste. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere adding to the charm. The bread, hummus & falafels were homemade and absolutely delicious!! Loved the veg moussaka, the bulgur in the side was the best ever that Ive had till date. The Turkish coffee was totally enjoyable too. Never had such clean plates in a long time post meal. Love the place, will be a regular for sure.

Excellent Resturant. The service, atmosphere and food were fantastic. It’s the best Turkish restaurant around so highly recommended. The staff are very nice and we mentioned our daughter had an allergy to sesame seeds and they made the efforts to give us a different kind of bread.

Visited Lav kitchen Banstead back in April and it was busy and food was good. Visited again this week on a Friday night and there were maybe 4 tables occupied and once we got our food, well that explained it. Whilst service was quick and efficient the food was probably the worst Turkish food I have ever had. The falafel starter was dry and stale and the mains, both mix grills, were awful. The lamb shish had a weird taste, the chicken was barely cooked yet dry and the adana was tasteless and fatty. The kitchen staff, an older man was on the restaurant floor in his dirty blue striped apron (it seemed his friends/family were eating in and he obviously wanted to serve them), but at least take the apron off and look presentable in front of other customers. Not sure if it has changed hands since April but it has definitely...

We really love this restaurant, the food the service is just superb, however we went about two months ago with some friends after telling them about this place We booked for a Saturday night for the four of us and thought it would be nice to catch up as we had not seen our friends in a while. When we turned up we were sat at the back of the restaurant right next to a very large speaker. After about 10 minutes an ELVIS impersonator stared to sing very loud right near a our ear level, in which made it impossible to talk to our friends, We don’t mind if they have this sort of entertainment going on but we should have been informed beforehand and we would have rescheduled another day, Well, we complained and it was too loud and had to leave the building (MANAGEMENT PLEASE TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS THAT YOU...
