Cafe Brioche — Restaurant in Ribble Valley

Non existent service. I went in today for lunch and despite there being about four staff on, wandering about seemingly doing very little, I wasn't acknowledged on entry so found myself a table. I was ignored for 10 minutes while I sat there. No one even looked at me to realise there was a new customer on the premises. I had always rated this cafe and I think it is better in the week, but on a Saturday they have young staff who clearly are either not trained in customer service or who can't be bothered to even begin communicating with customers. Last time I was in, last week,I had to draw attention to a staff member, as she had walked past me numerous times without realising that I was waiting for a menu. There was no urgency whatsoever. Was looking forward to sampling the fare here on a recent day out to Clitheroe having read reviews. Extremely disappointed to find no room for a party of four to sit as nearly all the four seater tables were taken up by couples so in effect the place was half empty. Can't be good for trade or the proprietors and should look at ways to prevent this by splitting tables or encouraging patrons not to be so selfish . Gave it a miss and went to a neighbouring establishment with better thought out seating...

What a great little find this was. Fancied a coffee, but ended up with a pot of tea and a fantastic club sandwich! Packed between 3 pieces of very nice wholemeal bread, great bacon and chicken, coleslaw and egg with salad, and some tremendous proper homemade chips.
