The Horse & Groom is by far the best pub in Rochford & further it is so warm & friendly & has a large choice of real ales & some from small local breweries & even when it's very busy you somehow get served very quickly & with a smile & it means a lot if you want the opposite with non friendly & very long waits to get served if at all twice I have left after 10 mins of non service when there is nobody else waiting then the Anne Bolyne near the airport is your place to be !!!!! but if you want to order a meal & a beer the service is very good back to the Horse & Groom if you like real ale try their Maldon Gold apart from the Mad Goose in the Cotswolds M G is the best but they sell out so quickly give it a try my boys u will love me for it as a top recommend be...

The Tack Room at the Horse & Groom was a brilliant venue for our family and friends get together. We were able to decorate the room and have our own music playing, with drinks provided at the bar in the room. The buffet was a fantastic spread - everyone commented on the delicious chips and the mini Yorkshire puddings with beef and horseradish went down particularly well. Great pub, nice and clean and really great service too. Really should be a five star review and on any other visit it would be but usually buy a beer but ordered a double jd and coke and was gobsmacked to be charged NINE pounds i still shake my head as i write this now, really this visit was a one star review but based on all previous visits ill average out at a 3.
