Chaudrys Restaurant — Restaurant in Rotherham

Had family up from the south so decided to try another restaurant/ delivery based on good reviews… what an utter disappointment. Starters bhajies, simosa & picoras very poor taste. Mains, Rogan Josh, Chicken Korma, Choudry Special. All virtually had the same insipid base sauce, far too watery with lots of ghee floating. The garlic nan was ok the pashwari was rubbery with hardly a hint of sweetness, they must have hid the coconut, sultanas and almonds… We ordered a feast and normally left over curries in the dishes I’ll mix, save and make a concoction several days later. On this occasion there was lots of food remaining and for the first time all went in the bin.. I’m guessing with the reviews that on this particular evening the chef were off sick and the got the local window cleaner in...

Absolute perfection, great price too. I NEVER write reviews but this place really really deserves one.

2 chicken balti curries, 2 pilau rice, 2 chips, 2 onion bhajis (THE REST WAS FOR FREE AND I DIDN'T ASK FOR, YOU SIMPLY DON'TGET FREEBIES ANYWHERE ANYMORE) 2 poppadoms onion salad and mint yoghurt. LESS THAN £30!!!

All items come delivered in really well made, sturdy, reusable containers which again is a huge bonus apposed to those foil ones with the paper lid that are single use.

I can honestly say that this place is my new curry house and you will be getting many any orders from my self along as your service doesn't change, I will also do my best to spread the word.

I've given 1 star for food but the fact is I didn't get the chance to eat it. Went to collect to be told order had been cancelled. That's after to arriving to a locked door that they used a paint scraper to open. No that's not a typo!! Money taken out of bank and they tried to blame a third party. Offered to prep food if I paid again!! What a joke. Even if I had wanted to pay twice I didn't want two blokes sat around opening doors with a paint scraper preparing it. Finally got an email from the third party order service saying the restaurant had cancelled the order....
