Well Last Sunday (07/09/25) I came to see my Brothers as I live in Chichester and stayed in Sheffield. Hencewise when I came to Rotherham it was like the good times as I remember decades ago. But the reason I mentioned your establishment is that there is a brilliant community feel ( wished I can say that in Chichester!!)But there was a brilliant Lady( I will say this) who was Jamaican called Michelle who is a “ Lady “ despite the industrial language but one of the most down to earth people you could ever meet. And a great young guy who welcomed my brothers and made us feel at home. My biggest regret was not to take any photographs on mobile. But I honestly say this: I will stay for a couple or few nights in Rotherham rather than Sheffield ( and that is sad coming from S5). But I will like to return in the near...

I visited here on a trip to Rotherham to watch my football team. It is a great little pub that is more than happy to serve away supporters there is a great choice of beers on offer and the also serve bar snacks. Also there is a beer garden with a well stocked bar and a BBQ offering hot dogs and burgers for a couple of quid. Updated 23rd April 2019 was here again for the football once again received a warm friendly welcome and fans of both sides mixed and got along fine. No BBQ on offer this time but still had bar snacks on offer and the best part was there are still plenty of cask ales and ciders on offer well worth a visit just to try all the different ales and ciders the broadoak twisted lime has to be tried to be believed. It's a shame The Millers look to be religated again will miss my...

Wonderful pub

Full of character

And full of characters

Superb array of beers from Rotherham's own Chantry brewery

Always a fan of New York Pale (nothing to do with the good ol' u s of a. Other New York's are available😉)

But just tried their Pilsner. Gorgeous. Also stock other mainstream drinks as well as bar snacks, pipers crisps etc.

I always try to get in here when I'm back in my old home town.

It's a little bit out of the main town centre but very straightforward to find and only 10 minutes or so walk from Rotherham railway station. Also hopefully getting back to being a live music venue.

Highly Recommended if you like good traditional boozers with top quality beer and friendly folk, staff and customers alike.

Excellent pub operated by Chantry Brewery (based locally at Parkgate). Full range of their beers on. Competitively priced real ales. Their other pub The New York Tavern is a few minutes walk down the road, also well worth a visit. Rumour has it the brewery is planning on resurrecting the Alma Inn next door as a separate pub. Obviously a massive long term project. Completing Rotherhams trio of outstanding pubs the Bluecoat (Wetherspoons) should also be on your list. From What Pub : Grade II listed. Included in CAMRA's National Inventory of Pub Interiors. Originally built 1825, the pub was rebuilt for Stones Brewery of Sheffield in 1907. Architect R. Wigfull was responsible for the impressive façade and other features.

Another great night this really is a top live venue. Close to bus and rail links always get friendly welcome from bar staff of which there are plenty no long queues for a pint. Beer is always top draw lf you like your real ales and only £2.70 a pint. 2nd visit and once again had a fantastic night wont be last. Thanks to all for your hard work putting on such great events. Cheers.
