Went in here with 2 x 19 year olds, who are lucky enough to look their age. They have a challenge 25 policy. Fair enough. Nowhere does it say they do not accept citizenship cards despite the cards being government issued and printed that they are recognised by police and home office. The explanation they gave (only after I asked, not at the time of saying they won't accept them) was because they can be forged (as if driving licences and passports cant). Because of this, and one of the 19 year olds having this form of ID, we had to leave. Also, the way the bar staff spoke to us was not ok. They didn't greet us, or ask politely for the ID. As soon as we walked in they just pointed at us (the 19 year old in particular) and said 'ID'. We don't usually go in there, it's just because a friends band was playing. And maybe that was their problem. But definitely won't even consider making it a regular haunt...

The bar has been moved to the back wall giving the room a more spacious feel. The whole place has been modernised.
