Visit to the area, went here on the recommendation of my partner. Immediately enjoyed the furniture, the interior and the whole vibe of the place. Felt like an experience to be proud of. The menu seemed minimal, but this normally means what's offered is really good, so I wasn't worried. Bakery bits looked amazing, a little pricey though. Ordering was easy, but the staff member didn't seem to happy, almost felt like we'd interrupted something. Whereas, when we went to 200 Degrees later that day, the place was packed but the staff still smiled and had a chat. We sat outside on the cool furniture. I ordered a tea, the other half ordered a coffee. As tea goes, it was on the higher end of prices being over £3, so I'd expected a tea pot (a reasonable expectation). When the drinks came out, this is when things became slightly uncomfortable. The staff member plonked the drinks down with almost no warmth, eye contact, or conversation. This continued as she came back with sugar. The door also slammed which added to the dramatic effect. Unfortunately, the tea was the worst tea I've ever had. No exaggeration. The cup was on top of the glass of tea (no teapot, but a glass coffee container), causing me to worry about dust on the bottom of the cup falling into the beverage. Condensation will also drip on your lap if you're not careful. The tea itself, enough for 1.5 small cups, was very underdone, and sadly the teabag removed (why?) so I was unable to steep it to taste. This meant my tea looked and tasted like dirty puddle water. The coffee my partner had seemed better. Still in a very small cup, but pleasant to drink. The experience of the lady rudely bringing the drinks out and the pitiful tea made it less enjoyable for us both. It's worth mentioning that he said when he came last, it was much better with different staff. I won't be returning,...

I came with my friend who I've been looking after for a few days as they had been struggling with a mild chest infection and wanted to treat me as a gesture to say thank you for looking after her and wanted a hot beverage to help keep her warm.

My friend went to order while I went to reserve a table, as it was reasonably busy. and she was greeted with "can you go there" where the cakes were. She went and ordered a Latte, a Chai Latte and a Cardamom bun, then came to sit with me.

A few minutes later, her Latte and my bun arrived but no sign of my drink, I waited a bit for my Chai Latte and asked the same waitress who served my friend if they could warm the bun up and was told "we don't do that here".

We waited over 5 mins and I went to the counter and asked the same waitress when would my Chai Latte be ready. The waitress told me that they don't serve Chai Latte and would I like a drink, so I ordered a Hot Chocolate that came in a few minutes and was served by her helpful colleague.

We thought the drinks were good, however, we were disappointed that they came in a cup size rather than a mug, even though we paid £4 per drink. The Cardamom bun was nice but I wish I had taken it home and warmed it up in the microwave.

Overall it was an okay experience however the customer service was lacking and we would have preferred to go somewhere...

Never visited before but meeting a friend and thought we’d try here. Doubt I’ll go back. Ordered a latte and asked for extra hot. Delivered in a small cup slightly bigger than the water glass which incidentally the size I have for my toddlers and was a tad extra hot but within two sips it was cold!! Plus not great coffee flavour either considering it’s not a chain. Asked for honey but was told they only have sugar which is no biggie but given golden caster sugar which I found odd. Had to move tables because the table was wobbly but as we moved, was advised all the tables wobble. Would it be so hard to take a screwdriver to them once a week??? Clearly it would be. I Ordered sourdough toast which came with one 50p size pat of butter and again had to ask for more. 4 staff available and after serving some of them were eating in full view of customers. Found that odd but maybe that’s how it is. Dogs in and not sat quietly and unfortunately I’m not a huge fan of wet dog smell or dogs that are unable to sit at one’s feet inside a restaurant of any kind. Like the bleakness of the decor but bleak all over in my opinion. 1 star was too high. The customer service is lacking, no attention to detail and a 2 litre milk (even organic) is £2.20 or so, so £3.30 for a child’s size latte is just ridiculous. Harsh but very very...

The most perfect coffee shop. It’s Norwegian, with the name meaning “increasing.” It has the minimal Scandinavian design that indicates high quality, uses local and organic ingredients, and has a simplistic display of homemade bread loaves and pastries, both sweet and savory. They have a wall of aesthetic provisions like coffee beans, granola, and wine, and seating both inside and out. The dishes are all delicious and clearly made with care. The scrambled egg on sourdough is a runny version that is rich with butter, seasoned well, and is very filling. The yogurt bowl was drizzled with olive oil and has a delicious strawberry compote, almond butter, granola, and fresh berry arrangement on top. We always pick up a loaf of fresh bread here and my only wish is that they could also offer to cut it for you since that’s hard to do at home. We will be back - thank you!

A little taste of home for a Dane 🇩🇰🤝🇳🇴 The La Cabra coffee sent me straight back to my student days in Aarhus—pure happiness and ‘hygge’ in a cup. The same feeling fills the space: warm, relaxed, quietly joyful. Their Nordic bakery delights only add to it (the vegan sausage roll was delicious!) Sadly, the full menu was on pause due to the chef’s holiday, but that just gives us a perfect excuse to come back. I’m also looking forward to a cozy evening with orange wine in best Copenhagen-style! Tak for mad!
