White Horse Inn — Restaurant in Rushcliffe

We recently celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary at the White Horse in Ruddington, and we had a great time. They have a permanently sited marquee with sturdy walls, built-in floor, high vaulted ceiling and good lighting. They filled it with furniture for us, so that we could seat all our guests, and provided table service to take drinks orders and to fetch them for us. We employed a friend to provide disco/karaoke; the management let us know that we couldn’t be too loud, and that music must finish at 10pm, and that they would vacate the restaurant at 10pm so that we could migrate indoors at that time and continue there until the pub closed. They had good choices of hot and cold buffet and we ordered a mixture plus some gluten free dishes for our guests. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Can sit in or take out. We did the latter. two x decaf tea's and two cakes £11. Very reasonable.

We wouldn't usually go in a pub during the day however they have created a welcoming reason to go in. Artisan farm shops are lovely, so can be the prices! However we did pickup some locally made Gin while we were there!

We would certainly feel comfortable sitting in for tea and cake. Dogs welcome, nice and warm on a cold day.

Really welcoming staff and friendly.

I'm sure its early days in them setting up. Our only recommendation would be to cover over all, not just one lot, of the cakes on the front counter.

The farm shop is open 10am to 3pm, Wednesday to Saturday. The pub is open for longer.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Andy, Georgia, Eleanor and the team for looking after us all yesterday. We had a big family party planned for months for this weekend and had arranged for the pub to do the catering for us. Due to the awful weather, Andy and Georgia offered us the marquee at the back of the pub at the last minute and got it all set up for us ready. They were so welcoming, giving us time to decorate and set everything up for the family. They had a lovely waitress, Eleanor, look after us all day, who couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. On top of that, the food was absolutely top notch and served so beautifully.
