Good choice for lunch, a bit of a squeeze but convenient option nonetheless. This was not our first choice for afternoon tea, but it was the only option -- either because of such or in general this made the location buzzing and packed with persons, not a seat to be found except a few outside. The line was a little wonky and the pick up location was nerve wrecking with boiling teas handed off that couldn't be picked up- tbh the water temp on teas was TOO HOT for comfort. The flavors were good, but not special feeling if that makes sense, it was very much a product line as you grabbed premades from a hot case. It was filling and not a bad experience, just not the most ideal. I think on a less busy time *which may never be the case, unsure* it would've been wonderful!

Extortion. Plain and simple. Fancy names for prawn mayo doesn't excuse a huge price tag! The chicken and bacon sandwich was nice enough but the price is unreasonable. The cans should have been gold plated for what we paid for them! Service was chaos, made worse by the staff barking to 'use both sides' when people were waiting in an orderly manner for the snail-pace till system to serve people. Covid doesn't exist at the Island Cafe. Food is uncovered in the centre of the room surrounded by queuing people. Torpedo filled rolls open at one end so they go stale and let in as much air as possible. Feel like I've been robbed.

Perfect stop after a tiring hike, and touring inside St. Michaels Mount. I enjoyed their Blueberry Bakewell - it was soft, heavenly and not too sweet, just the right amount of sweetness. I also bought their hot chocolate and croissant, which was good. The sausage roll was not to my liking; it was a bit salty. Nevertheless, after eating inside the cafe, I bought their chicken and bacon mayo sandwich, which was mouthwatering, and I enjoyed eating it! I can’t stop thinking about the sandwich. They have lots of pastries, sandwiches and drinks to choose from.

Nice Cafe Popped into the Island Cafe on St Michaels Mount on our trip to Cornwall. It is situated next to the beautiful gardens and overlooks the causeway over to the mainland. It has a beautiful seating area outside and was a very relaxing area to sit and have a nice cup of tea.

Friendly, brisk service, although note that the ice cream shack outside is cash-only. Inside does take card, thankfully. You can also get discounted pasties (£2.50) which are still quite warm out the oven at about 4pm. Perfect if you are waiting for the ferry queue to thin down.
