A Greek Culinary Oasis: Unparalleled Hospitality and Fresh Delights
Choosing this restaurant based on pictures and reviews turned out to be an impeccable decision, as my experience surpassed all expectations. The two owners/cooks went above and beyond to create an atmosphere that was not only welcoming but exceptionally comfortable.
The restaurant itself is a cozy and lovely space, complemented by a big screen TV playing Greek music 🎶, enhancing the overall ambiance. Opting for the chicken gyro 🍗 🥙 main dish was a culinary delight. It came with a fresh Greek salad, tzatziki, a delicious warm pita 🫓, and oregano fries 🌿 🍟 - all made fresh, including the fries.
The authenticity of the experience extended to the beverages, with a selection of Greek soft drinks, and the dessert menu featured delightful treats like baklava and pastel de tres leches 🍰. The attention to detail and commitment to freshness truly set this restaurant apart.
A heartfelt thank you to the owners for providing not just a meal but an immersive experience in Greek culinary...
Read moreThis is an honest, non-biased review. I've been looking forward to this place opening up, as I love Greek food.
I came to this place a few days ago, and ordered two chicken wrap/gyros. The food was fresh, the meat is quality meat, and the sauces are absolutely delicious.
However, I will say that the chips were too thin and a bit soggy. They were pretty tasteless, I think they could definitely find some better chips to use, because chips is a big thing here in many.
The pita bread it was okay, but once again it was pretty tasteless, and a bit dry. I don't know if it's homemade or not, but either way the pita bread could've been alot better.
The price is very reasonable for what I ordered. Under 6 quid for a chicken gyro, you can't beat it.
The people who served me were really nice, and they encouraged me to leave an honest review. They also gave me a few sauces for free, which was very nice of them.
If they got better chips, and made the pita bread a bit more tasty, then I'd be giving it 5...
Read moreJust visited Big Gyros for a second time, and got to say the food was fantastic. We only returned from Zakynthos last weekend and had eaten in the traditional Greek Taverna’s each night of our two week stay. We can honestly say that these lads( not got their names yet, but will next visit) are right up there with their fantastic food & typical Greek chilled out, laid back personality’s. If we closed our eyes and eaten, we would have still thought we were over in Greece. Great food at great prices, nothing was too much trouble, and already looking forward to our next visit. The place is superbly decorated in a nice rustic finish with a variety of table sizes to suit people’s needs. Our only problem is that the place is so far away for us, but going to eat there every time we visit our daughter, for sure. An absolute must try, guarantee you won’t be disappointed. The guys even do takeaway if you’re unfortunate enough to not have time to sit down and...
