Food was superb. Initially service was fantastic till the bill arrived. The young waitress couldn't work out that a bill of £148.56 with £30 paid in cash left £118.56 to pay on card. She charged my card with £188.56 instead. This was a mistake and she immediately went to find a "manager" to resolve. This "manager" was just 1 of the other waitresses..... who had no idea how to deal with a customer complaint. Eventually after 5 mins of me telling her how to resolve it she finally processed a refund.... of whole amount charged. Then the real fun started..... she absolutely point blank refused to take a payment of part cash and part card. She told us we had to pay the whole bill either in cash or on a card and no way was she willing to budge. I was told that no one ever pays a bill in 2 different ways......they don't allow it and I needed to pay it all either by cash or all by card. I HAVE NEVER HEARD SUCH UTTER NONSENSE IN MY LIFE.....what an absolute idiot she was. I ended up having to go be further inconvenienced by putting whole bill on my card and coming home with the cash , that I don't need and now have to go pay in the bank. It was utter incompetence and left a very sour taste. I'll not be...

This is one of my favourite Italian restaurants.

The Food: The food here is amazing every time, the dishes are fresh and the portions are generous. If you're a big fan of salami, ham and goat's cheese, Antipasto Due Amici is the large platter perfect for sharing.

I loved their Linguine Al Cartoccio (fresh mixed seafood wrapped in tinfoil with cherry tomatoes, garlic and white wine) with prawns, clams, calamari and mussels. The whole dish was wrapped in a swan-shaped tinfoil, which the staff ripped open at the bottom and all the deliciousness flew out. Another dish I loved was the Spaghetti Carbonara, a classic dish where the egg yolk wrapped around the spaghetti and bacon made your mouth water at the first bite. They also serve lovely cocktails and a variety of drinks.

Service: The staff were very nice, very approachable and focused on the customer experience. The food was served quickly which is a nice pace for me.

Atmosphere: There is both indoor and outdoor seating, so whether you want to catch some gentle breeze and have a beer while you wait for your food, or just enjoy your meal in the warmth inside with your family and friends, this place has it all.

All in all, I highly recommend...

Avoid on a Saturday night! Booked a party of 16 for my 50th, what a bad choice of restaurant! The service was very slow, drinks order was wrong several times, and the wait for food was beyond a joke We arrived at 6pm and left at 10pm, 4 hours to have food!!! by the time the mains were served some of us had started going passed it, the whole night was a shambles and badly managed, they were either under staffed although there were plenty of chefs and waiters, or they overbook and expect people to sit there and keep ordering drinks, we complained about the wait three times about the wait for food and the response was sit back relax and enjoy the evening! I would have thought better of them if they had been honest and told us there would be delay with the food instead of keeping us waiting for hours! When we eventually got the food it was nice but the whole experience by then had spoiled what should have been a lovely night Won't be going back here and the 16 members of the family have said the same Oh and by the time we were leaving at least three other tables were complaining about the...

For a local Italian it's good, not the best but don't misunderstand the food we had was really good. The fillet steak was large well cut and cooked as I asked. Try the aubergine fries to go with your meal. The pizza base was really good and cooked great. I had a mojito which was just as good as the best I've had in Barcelona, although not as strong! For a last minute birthday meal (other restaurant messed up) it saved the day. Recommended for a causal friendly meal.

First time at Due Amici and I was impressed, the restaurant was spotless and well laid out a very nice place to eat and I will certainly be going again in the future . I would say it's Walkdens hidden gem. The staff were very friendly and helpful the service was excellent the food was absolutely amazing, I did find it a bit odd that you could only have veg or chips with your steak 🤔. Some of the drinks were a bit pricey but there was something for everyone's budget.
