Food has been okay the few times we have visited but Sadly, long wait time spoils the experience. It was no different during our recent visit. wait time was 40 mins circa for a simple meal with no other customer order - there was no apology whatsoever when food finally arrived.
Worst part of it was that the food, after waiting that long for it to arrive, was of poor quality - tasted stale, no joke. 1 minute into starting on the food we were sorely disappointed with how bad it tasted. Almost like something that had not been well preserved/refrigerated before cooking it . We would have demanded a full refund as we couldn’t eat it, but decided not to. So googled cafes in Walkden (we don't go often, generally for the vets) and Hug in a Mug came up. She had sausage and egg barm, I a cheese toastie, we both had coke to drink. Took a pic of the menu to show hubby the breakfasts, as last time we got rumbles in the tumbles in Walkden, we went to the crown's fast food place, which reminded us exactly why we don't go there normally.
