McDonald's — Restaurant in Salford

This mcdonalds took and let us pay for our order, they then informed us the McFlurry machine was broken. This is pretty standard there. We asked for a refund and were told we couldn't have one because there was only supervisors there and no manager. I'm pretty sure this is illegal but we decided to argue it anyway as we were being told to come back the next day. The first supervisor started shouting at us and then walked off half way through me talking, she hid in the back and point blank refused to come out. They then sent out a floor worker who once again refused to refund us but then when a few other customers started loudly pointing out this is the worst mcdonalds around she screamed "WHY DONT YOU ALL GO F£%%KING SOMWHERE ELSE THEN" and then had to be physically out the back while still screaming at the customers. The other supervisor came out and to his credit he was a pretty reasonable guy and it was clear we weren't getting a refund that night. Next day my wife called CALLUM the manager who apologised and said were entitled to two free meals. We eventually tonight went in for the 2 free meals, which was the biggest song and dance I've ever been through I wish they hadn't bothered.we didn't get a like for like meal for what we bought that night anyways. The worst part about all of this happened afterwards. While floor staff I cam accept poor service from but the manager CALLUM after dealing with me very rudely, went over to the supervisors and other staff and in a huddle said to one of the female workers "there a husband and for you over there" he didn't realise I was right over the counter watching him and he saw that I had seen him. I wish there was an option to give no or 'minus' stars. This is easily THE worst branch of McDonalds I have eaten at. The staff are incredibly rude, the restaurant is always filthy, early evenings are like a kindergarten with school kids running about swearing and shouting (OK you may argue this isn't the restaurant's fault, but they are never moved on even after I witnessed a mother with her very young children were trying to enjoy their meals and the school kids were swearing, throwing food at each other - which ended up on the family's table, the mother complained but NOTHING was said or done about it) The food is frequently cold, or they don't have certain items which still remain on the order computer things, so you order, pay and sit down only to wait for ages then a member of staff comes up and tells you they don't have that item in. The staff are horrendous, yes ok it's a fast-food restaurant and the turnover of customers is big BUT it takes nothing to have manners, have some sort of an idea of customer service, and to at least provide serviettes when taking a tray of food to a customer (that's if you are lucky enough to get a tray, so many times I have said I'm eating in and they just 'drop' a take-out bag with my order in on the table, and yes, I do mean drop. My girlfriend and I are visiting from America, and we love our McDonald's, but this experience was the worst one in my life. The staff working the line were sick, coughing, sneezing and rubbing there runny noses, and still proceeded to make food. Our meals came out to the counter and when we opened our burgers, the sauces were all over the outside of the bun, the meat looked like it was dirty and was crumbling all over. The lettuce was bleeding red, and the onions had zero snap. Our drinks came out half full with no ice, when we told them about it, they asked us to pay for another drink. We showed them our burgers and they thought we made it all up, and took everything very offensively, which caused them to have an attitude of sorts. I feel bad for the people who don't have the gall to complain about the poor service delivered at this particular McDonalds, because it's going to get someone sick, and the negative reputation built by the staff are going to ruin the location and cause the restaurant to bleed money just to fix a simple mistake made by the lazy staff with poor attitudes who seem to not appreciate their jobs paying their bills.
