First time ever visiting a Boston Tea Party and I was quite impressed! We ordered and paid via the App, which is always easy peasy and makes the experience a bit smoother. Unfortunately, what I planned to order was unavailable due to an issue with being able to have poached eggs with some meals but not others (still slightly confused regarding this???). Nevertheless, we all ordered some food, which came in reasonable time and was all very fresh and piping hot. The quality of the food was top, the granary toast crispy and earthy in flavour with lashings of proper butter, and the poached eggs oozed to perfection. The hash browns - oh my, hands down the best hash browns I have ever eaten. Extremely crispy and flavourful. There was a little confusion when our "seasonal greens" (depicted on the app as being peas, edemame and a little kale) ended up just being kale. When we explained that this was not what we were expecting/would not have ordered just kale we were kindly directed to the till downstairs for a refund (the person at the till was already informed and so was waiting for us). This was all handled professionally and politely, the staff were all kind and attentive to the perfect degree. We would also just say that the place was slightly on the colder side for a our liking, not a huge issue but a bit of extra heating would have been nice on the cold day in which we visited! Overall, we would definitely return to and recommend Boston Tea Party, and cannot wait to go back and try more of the menu!

The Eggs Royale has some room to improve. The poached eggs were small and cooked too hard so there wasn't much liquid yolk. The sourdough underneath tasted okay but were sliced quite thin as if they're rationing and could have used some toasting because they turned soggy quite quickly. However the weirdest part of my visit was that a guy who perfectly fits the, and I'll try to be gentle, national security threat MO, (I'm not kidding) of an undersocialized young white male with poor grooming, loudly ranted anarchist sayings then sat down audibly listening to what I can only describe as "pump up" music while conspicuously brooding and breathing heavily. I apologize if this sounds inappropriate or sarcastic but this guy was legitimately dangerously unhinged and the staff simply quietly stood to watch. Meanwhile at another table an old lady was talking loudly at nothing which by comparison was much less jarring. So either lightning struck twice in the same place today, or the clientele at this place could use some judicious filtering by the staff.

Visited on 24th November . Have to say we have been eating here previously but this time don’t know what happened but it was the worst experience …. Food was really poorly presented , I had a breakfast which tasted like it was cocked yesterday and reheated today and my wife had a toastie what came with fries as side but the fries were just as bad as my breakfast ( cooked yesterday and re heated today ) . Such a shame for this place to have gone down the slope ….. also the qr code ordering is absolute waste of time . I couldn’t order extra bread for my breakfast and when the waiter came to the table I asked her how can I get extra bread and she said I have to swap something out from my breakfast for extra bread 🫣🫣🫣 walked off and left me there with no bread ……. So as much as we have lived this place I don’t think we will ever come back again as this experience was absolutely putting us off

Oh. My. God... Dirty, unorganised and slow

Came in to order some light food with my boyfriend. Server was blunt and fairly rude when I (having not been here before) started ordering. Apparently we needed to go upstairs to find a table and come back down to order with our table number. She ordered my boyfriend to go and find a table number while I carried on with the food. We both agreed it was a weird and annoying system - coming in, going upstairs, coming back down to order and then going back up to wait. I ordered a rhubarb and something 'shrub' (a new drink option that they heavily advertised and so peaked my interest) and she replied that they don't have any shrubs in today... ok fine, I'll order a nice red berry iced tea. She said "Today we have Earl Grey, not red berry". I thought that was odd as she made it sound like they changed daily, but the menu did not say that anywhere and red berry looked prettyyy permanent. Well alright I'll take the Earl Grey, lemonade, sweet potato fritters and a side salad. We waited upstairs with a dirty table, a sugar cup with all of the sugar stuck to it and our disintegrating paper straws for at least half an hour before they came to tell me the salad is not available. They offered me chips instead... so much for being healthy. At this point I was very disappointed as the lemonade for my boyfriend choked me with bitterness when I tried a sip and we both agreed the iced tea was the worst we'd ever tasted. We had to keep picking hairs off of our glasses and table which was quite infuriating. But anyway, I agreed to the chips. The sweet potato fritters were quite frankly "okay" at best. When my chips came out I was shocked as they had put a ton of salt and pepper on them already! The salt was not table salt but finger salt and so it was gruelling to eat chunks of salt on my over-seasoned chips. I wondered why they even bothered to put shakers on the table when apparently they will give you a daily dose of heart attack already, with no warning. I was laughing at this moment but also wanted to cry because that was the most ridiculous and worst meal of my life. One star for the nice waiter and the fact they have books and boardgames (even though we were NOT in the...

After having experienced the Ringwood branch of BTP on many occasions and never had a bad experience, thought we'd give the Salisbury branch a go seeing we were visiting Salisbury today and wanted a light lunch. What a difference. Tried to order via your QR system. A good idea if it actually worked! Tried four times and it just wouldn't load properly. We were seated upstairs and on several occasions we tried to get the attention of various members of staff. They just walked past, totally ignoring us and carried on their conversation. Clearly more focused on chatting to each other rather than serving customers. We decided that as they clearly were not prepared to serve us and we couldn't get the App to work, that we'd go elsewhere. On coming downstairs, my husband noticed an available table and thought he'd try to order at the counter instead. That wasn't a problem. Our drinks arrived promptly but the food was very slow. My order was incomplete. I ordered a sausage, egg and hash brown muffin. It was missing the hash brown. I mentioned this to the lady on the counter who promptly dealt with the issue and requested the missing item. This arrived promptly but was overcooked and stoned cold! By this time I really couldn't be bothered to make a fuss and just ate the cold, overcooked hash brown. The rest of the muffin was delicious. Overall, our experience wasn't the best. Such a shame as this place has the potential to do really well because of it's pride location. Just a few tweaks regarding the staff actually doing their job rather than chatting and attention to detail with food orders and it...

we went there about two weeks ago. we arrived and ask for a table for 8 people and they told us to go and see if it was one upstairs. we found it so we sat down and we've been told we had to go downstairs to order. two of us went to ordered and we had to repeat our order four times before they understood everything. they said we had to pay immediately, so I told I had to go upstairs again to call the others and they looked at me suspisciously, even if the other girl with me was staying down at the cash desk while we arrived. when we finally were all eight at the desk to pay they served - really slowly - other two customers before us. we payed once at time and when it was my turn I gave the waiter 3.75 £ cash for my piece of cake because I remembered the price wrong but he told me it was 3.95 only after having counted every single coin, always quite slowly. at this point I had to ask one of my friends 20 pences and he seriously counted them all again, slowly, twice!! after probably 10 minutes at the cash to pay a piece of cake, at least our orders were ready but they didn't take them to our table, no! they just left on the desk two trays saying that we could pick them up. so I took one upstairs, went down and again up to take the other one. after half an hour we could sit at the table and eat and, personally, my carrot cake was quite good actually. one of my friends had some bacon too with her pancakes when we just asked pancakes with maple syrup. anyways the service was terrible, really bad, infact I don't recommend this...
