During my visit to Big John's, I had an interesting experience that left a lasting impression. I joined my colleagues for a meal, and they had already shared their unfortunate encounter with being overcharged and having to assertively complain to get their money back. Little did I know that I would find myself in a similar situation.
When placing my order, I asked the cashier if chili and mayo were included in the meals I desired, which I was told they were not. I placed my order and requested two portions each of chili and mayo tubs to accompany our meals. However, to my surprise, I noticed that I was charged for three of each instead. To add, the receipt clearly displayed chili and mayo was included in the meals. Confused, I inquired if these condiments were already included with the meals. Astonishingly, the cashier informed me that they were included, contradicting what I had been previously told.
To add to the confusion, I noticed that the prices displayed for the meals were lower than what I was charged. Concerned about this discrepancy, I knew it was important to mention that this practice was against the law. Engaging in a lengthy discussion with the cashier, I insisted on a fair resolution.
After patiently expressing my concerns and asserting my rights as a customer, the cashier eventually acknowledged the errors and agreed to refund the extra charges. It was a relief to see the situation resolved, but it was disappointing that it required such a significant effort to rectify the mistakes.

Read moreFood not cooked properly. Wouldn't recommend buying from here, it has gone downhill in recent years. Post COVID. Tables are 50% dirty or surfaces not wiped down fully clean. Toilets are always out of order 99% of the time , when they are open to use which is rare occasion, its absolutely filthy and wouldn't bother using. I rarely eat from here in recent years post COVID, but I won't be buying from here ever again as the food is either borderline cold or undercooked/raw from what I had yesterday. Bought food, a day ago and have had diarrhea which I'm assumed its from the slightly undercooked chicken I ordered, I ordered pizza slice and chips for myself and 4 spicy niblets and chips for someone else had 1 niblet to try at home and realised it was slightly undercooked so left it. Wouldn't recommend buying any form of chicken unless you want bad diarrhea. ( A Few years back I did order chicken and chips from here and got diarrhea then aswell.) Chips was fine and veggie pizza slice seemed borderline decent although not how it usually tasted like in previous times, as it was all mainly tomatoe I could taste barely any veggies on top mainly sweetcorn, so I'm not sure If the pizza slice contributed to the issue aswell whether it wasnt cooked fully or been sitting there for a long while. Since lockdowns you have to pay extra for sauces something like 50p + in a small pot, which is ridiculous. Don't expect anything on your chips except for salt and vinegar. Read moreI've ordered from this place numerous times before and never had many issues with it aside from a weirder/worse taste a few times with pizzas. However, after today I will not be ordering anything from this place again.
I ordered a 20" pizza which arrived all squished to one side of the box. Having called the store, they agreed to send a second pizza to me as a compensation with not much hassle. Needless to say, the second pizza arrived in an even worse state. It was squished even more compared to the first one and it was sticking to the top of the box. The delivery driver saw the state of it and called the store after which he explained that they had issues with the base and won't be doing any more pizza deliveries for today so I should get a refund and as he was leaving he took the pizza with him.
I call the store to ask for a refund and after explaining the situation and waiting for a couple of minutes I get told that they will not issue a refund because I already received 2 and that because the pizza that arrived was "edible". According to the customer service lady the delivery driver confirmed that it was "edible" and only a little bit of the toppings were sticking to the top of the box. That is what the delivery driver told the customer support after seeing a pizza squished to less than half of the length of the box and half of it sticking to the top of the box.
That is an order for over £17 for which I got two very low quality pizzas (one which was taken back) and no refund when requested. I will not be ordering...
