Service was great. Can't fault it. Atmosphere was a little too noisy for my taste with the background music but i appreciate this may be something most people enjoy. Id say this restaurant is more for casual diners as opposed to those looking for a more intimate setting.
Whilst the good was generously portioned, it didn't seem fresh and lacked in flavour.
Chicken dish had taste and texture of something that had been reheated (maybe in a microwave) or overcooked; that is to say it was tough and dry. The meat dish had very chewy meat that i had to give up on (i am the kind of perspn who usually eatd everything on my plate). Momos were reasonable. Not the best I've had but by no means the worst.
Menu felt like it was trying to cater for too many cuisines.. might not be a bad idea to focus on just the Nepali dishes, reduce the menu and perfect the...
Read moreChulo is hands down one of the best Nepali restaurants I’ve ever visited! Their momos are exceptiona. Whether you go for the classic steamed momo or the fried version, you won’t be disappointed.
The Thali is another highlight—generous portions, perfectly balanced spices, and a variety of dishes that offer a true taste of Nepal. It’s both hearty and satisfying, and the best part is that everything comes at a very reasonable price, making it an excellent choice for both quality and value.
However, the one thing they could improve is communication about their operating hours. On occasions like New Year, if they decide to close or open late, they should keep customers informed. Updating their schedule on social media or Google would help avoid confusion.
Overall, Chulo is a gem for anyone craving authentic Nepali food. Highly...
Read moreOne word, delayed! We arrived around 7pm and ordered chicken chilli momos, one soy dish with roti, one mutton dish with roti, and a veg thali. They told was 2 of the dishes would be delayed and would take 20-25 minutes. The momos and the soya and the mutton dish without the rotis came around an hour late actually. And the thali and the roti upon constant enquiries came another hour late. And the thali was a bit average, rotis weren’t quite nice, too crispy but also by that time we had lost our appetite as well. It wasn’t as if the restaurant was very busy as well. I wouldn’t say bad about the food, it was actually okay but cannot be enjoyed if you give the roti an hour later you...
