Colombia Picada Mix — Restaurant in Sandwell

I’ve heard so many good things about this Colombian cafe and finally made my visit!

It’s run by a lovely Colombian lady, whose warmth and hospitality make you feel right at home. The staff are equally friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more special.

The menu is truly authentic, from traditional arepas to tamales and so many other tempting dishes. I tried the Saturday special beef soup, which was absolutely delicious, and the portion was huge! I also had patacones with pork belly, perfectly crispy and bursting with flavour, served with a tasty sauce on the side.

Everything here is prepared fresh, the food was even served on Le Creuset plates!! The décor is filled with love and charm, bringing back all my Colombian memories. A real gem!

I would come back again and do their salsa dance class! This place is not just for food, it’s more for people with different culture backgrounds to connect...

I have been in this establishment in 2 different occasions, and unfortunately it has never been a pleasant experience, the first time the food took 1:30 to be ready which is a lot for an entrance, I asked for a refund but they convinced me to stay as the food was almost ready (food is not bad tbh) and the second time they charged me 60£ which I thought it was excessive so I did the math by myself and it was 48£ it took 20 min for them to rectify that I was right and the bill was 48 but instead of giving the 12£ back the owner decided to make me feel like a thief by telling me that she will take a look...
