Pepe's — Restaurant in Sandwell

Had placed an order at 20:10 through their app. The money was taken out straight away (just under £17) and I had a confirmation email regarding the order. Tried to contact the branch various times they never ever answered the phone. It now had reached 21:23 and he answered the phone and stated ‘your order has just come through now’ sorry but what are the chances ? The second you finally answer my call and hour later ? Then was told they will get it out ASAP waited an hour again and never ever do they answer the phone so I did not get through to them! I put through an email online and then finally somebody called me !!! They claimed that something had happened to their machine (why have a faulty machine in the first place) and my order came through late? That would have been fine if they had actually then got my food out! However, he then claimed that I will now get a refund through contacting the head office tomorrow when they open! This is the lengths I am having to go through for trying to order food ! Their manager has no idea how to use the app, who to contact, how to get a refund or anything ! They clearly need extra training or somebody a bit more qualified to run a branch! The best part is , once the shop closed at 23:00 I have somebody knocking on my door at 23:20 at night once I have finally fed my 2 year old soemthing I quickly cooked up as we waited so long for our food, and guess what 3 hours later they had the nerve to try deliver the food! They don't accept card! (It's not as though they're cheap and can't absorb the costs in the price. Probably an effort to stay below the VAT threshold They charge extra for absolutely everything!! Cheese, peri salt, sauces & probably more Getting a napkin or cutlery is like squeezing blood out of a stone They don't serve CokeaCola. The only drinks they serve are the cheapest which don't reflect the costs the customer pays. Floors and surfaces are always dirty. I've never seen anyone come out to give anything a wipe down Service is terrible. I wouldn't blame the staff, they seem overstretched and under trained. The person on the counter is usually too busy trying to do 3 jobs. I often stand around for ages waiting to be served while phone orders are taken before I even get a glance. They seem busy enough to justify more staff!! The food isn't bad but other branches are far better. This branch seems to have the smallest wings, so I suspect they're comprising on the meat they order.

Franchises aren't just about making money. It's important to take pride in your work and offer some value for money.

I don't usually write reviews good or bad, but I have to write this one because there could have been so many ways for it to be sorted but multiple people didn't just think right and carried on working with mind closed. I placed order around 11:15 pm, It said preparing, then 11:47 i get a notification saying its delivered. I didn't receive anything, i like in apartment and none called to check in as well, its like ringing the door bell no one did that, then i called restaurant and someone very unprofessional, rude and ignorant person picked up call and told me that driver is really good he wouldn't do that. And im here thinking maybe I'm the problem because clearly you guys aren't even accepting anything, and you have no proof yet that the food did get delivered or not or what happened but just outright saying driver will never do something like that, you should check around your whole building amd roam around your apartment building 12:30 pm and look for your food, because he must've left it there and im like what is even happening right now, is this a simulation?
