What can I say that isn’t any type of superlative? The food tonight (Valentine’s day) was amazing. The steak I had was easily better than most Miller & Carter restaurants I’ve been to, and way better than some of the high-end London restaurants I’ve frequented with business trips.

The starter, a mix of spicy nibbles, was heavenly (even though after my mouth felt like it was on fire lol), the steak as I said was totally amazing and cooked to my absolute requirement. I had to pass on my thanks, and we even heard the delightful lady (sorry, I didn’t catch her name but that pink hair rocks!) pass on our comments to the kitchen which was nice. It’s way too easy for people to be negative but way harder to be nice, but in this instance nice doesn’t even come close to how great the night was.

My wife’s chicken was moist, full of flavour and if I didn’t know better I’d swear it was off an emu how big it was! The meal was rounded off nicely with warm waffles with fruit for my wife and I had to try the sundae and by god I’m glad I did.

You have totally surpassed my expectations, and although this was my first time here, it certainly won’t be the last. To have this food of such a high standard so close to our doorstep is something of a godsend.

Each member of staff should be commended on your professionalism, your manner and the arm the of the welcome. I’ve not even started on how good value the food is!

had a party held here, would not recommend. The buffet had limited items even after paying extra from the price asked, there was no range of food, just the basic sandwiches, sausage rolls and crisps, was meant to be for around 30-50 people, definitely would only feed 15-20. During the party we had other members of the public in and out sitting around the room we were in, not to mention how we were only able to decorate an hour prior after agreeing an earlier time and they still had family’s sat eating food. Had many people asking for drug when we entered the toilets, Multiple members of staff following people outside to smoke a simple cigarette, The hygiene was terrible, toilets was covered in feces, No toilet roll because we kept having to ask, before decorating there was food left over the floor. Towards the end of the night there was a man stood up at the bar, i had looked at him a few times and every time he was looking at the kids or women, not even batting an eyelid at anyone else. They also overpriced the drinks during the party as afterwards one of our family members went there again a few days after, and the prices had dropped. I do not recommend having any big special...

Christmas Eve we booked for 12 people last month. 20 minutes before we attended they called to say they had given our table to someone else. That was just the start. We all sat down (different tables) they took our food order. It took an age for the first one to come out. Rib eye steak requested well done. It was medium at best so it was sent back that was just the start, a £18 mixed grill well done came out medium rare, what was on the plate was worth £9 at most it was awful. My sisters bap on her chicken was as hard as brick, a lasagna had no meat in it. None of the orders came out with salad or peas that was on the menu. But the very worst was that my poorly mother had to sit for an hour after we had all ours meals before her meal came out. That was after I had spoken to the manager that came out with a shower of excuses, blaming his poor staff. The staff was run off there feet taking the bunt of all the complaints.
