Tried for a second time here as our first experience was dreadful. Unfortunately, it wasn't that much better. We were a party of seven and pre booked. We didn't order a starter and went straight for the main course. We had booked for 18:30 and were seated promptly, we had a 15 to 20 minute wait before drinks orders were taken, and we then waited another 45 minutes for the staff to come and take ou food order (despite us asking twice in that time). It was 20:55 by the time our food was served to the table (over a 2 hour wait)! The food itself received mixed reviews for our table, had the mixed grill that I thought was quite nice, Three others had the carbonara and all tree said it was dry tasteless, one kids meal (standard) one pizza (ok), not sure what the last person had but he said he enjoyed it. When it was time to pay the bill, one of our party was not happy with the 16% service charge (that was stated on the menu) due to the over 2 hour wait for food. Although the issue was put across to the server in a polite and curious manner, the server became very rude and quite offensive. When asked if we could speak to the manager, the service replied with 'she's busy at the moment, so good luck with that' in a very derogatory tone. Eventually, we got to speak with the manager and sorted the issue out. Unfortunately, it's a case of two strikes and out. Casa Mia won't be getting a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI dined at Case Mia last night what should have been a very pleasurable evening turned out to be a very embarrassing and emotional evening. We were shown to our table, the restaurant was slightly cold and other diners had their coats on. We ordered our starter of Balsamic Vinegar with Olive Oil and warm bread. We received our order the bread was stone cold in the middle we asked the waitress if we could have the bread warmed or toasted. The waitress began to argue that the bread was freshly baked this morning n there was nothing wrong with bread but brought back another batch of bread which had been warmed. We thank her politely. We ordered our main which was nicely presented, I didn't finished my meal but didn't make any comment. Waitress asked what was wrong with my meal I said nothing but she pressurised me into making a comment. To my disbelief the waitress launched into a full blown argument rant all we done since entering the building is complaint. She raised her voice so everyone could hear embarrassing myself, my guest and the other diners who didn't know where to look. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone and most of all if you can not take constructive comment DON'T asked. To the waitress have some manners and self control. So...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBrilliant from start to finish. Having read some reviews on here, I was apprehensive about visiting. The reviews that state that the staff and / or owners are rude must have been on about another restaurant. We visited on a Monday night. The owner provided the mist friendly, personal service I've ever had in a restaurant. She engaged with my daughter, she engaged with everyone at the table, was attentive, and bent over backwards to accommodate dietary requirements. The food that arrived out of the kitchen was beautiful, starters came out promptly, with fresh home baked bread provided while we waited. The hummus in particular was outstanding. There was a short wait for our mains, but this is to be expected for a table of 9, all the food came out at the same time which was nice. The quality and quantity of the food was very good, food was fresh and cooked well. Steaks were perfectly cooked to our liking. Only a few people had desserts, but I was told that the tiramasu was phenomenonal. Prices were good for the standard and quality of food! Will most definitely be visiting again! There was a service charge of 10% applied to the bill this was more...
