@Tophski’s — Restaurant in Scotland

Hmmmmm where to start, never really leave reviews but since this place has such a great rating lets get started. Placed an order via app which was confirmed and then started to drive to collect my meal. Food was ordered at approx 6.35-6.40pm They close at 7pm Got a call at 6.44 asking when did I place the order. The person on the phone (maybe called Scott) can't really remember his name says they just received my order via the app however they can't do the order as it would take 20-25 mins to cook

In my head I just don't seem to find a problem with that Was told last orders was at quarter to or 10 to

so I was actually pretty confused on what he was saying on the phone as I placed the order before then

then when he described the situation as to that they are in the process of breaking everything down and cleaning up for the day he didn't want to cook the meal as it would take too long?

what can you say about that

Obv they are a successful business as they can decide what to cook when it suits them, to be honest I dunno I was just really angry that the fact a business doesn't want your service as it would take them maybe just over 5 -10 mins after their official closing time to finish cooking it ( and what I don't see that as a big deal ( unless of course you are too successful ) Either close your app and don't allow orders have a disclaimer "if you want the fillet steak hoagie the order must be placed 25 mins before closing" to be honest I have never seen or heard of business not wanting to do an order just because it would take them past there closing time

So do I recommend them, its hard to say obv their food is good, it must be... there's a lot of hype but as for customer service its...

Absolutely phenomenal! Had a look at the menu and couldn't decide what to get, so we got a bit (a lot) of everything. First things first, the service was great - everyone is really friendly and helpful. In terms of atmosphere, it's a pretty basic setup of some big round tables. Could be better but the old churn building has a different kind of charm to it.

Now on to the main bit, the food! Mind blowingly good! We got a smash and a chicken burger. Both big boos, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavours.

They had an offer for fries and a milkshake with the main for an extra fiver so we ofc had to go for it. Milkshake tasted like proper ice cream and the fries portion were huge! Proper skin-on fries and they were not skimpy with the Cajun seasoning!

It would be rude to not have a small side of Mac and cheese, emphasis on cheese! So delicious, and the small size was actually pretty decent.

Last but not least, the chicken tenders. We went for the garlic parmesan ones and we went for 6. Those tenders were huge. Wasn't sure of I had ordered the Mont Blanc itself cz the whole plate was covered in parmesan! For the dip we went for the cheesy katsu curry - great curry flavour and the cheese really added to it!

Needless to say we only finished just over half of it bit the staff were more than happy to give us some takeaway boxes -...

I’ve visited here a few times, and the food has been brilliant each time, it is proper hangover scran.

I’d advise downloading their app and ordered for collection, rather than turning up and waiting, I live around 20-30 mins away from Tophskis as it’s near Hampden Park, so ordered before you head there is perfect as your food will be ready when you arrive.

There’s about 6 tables inside the place, it’s not really a sit in place, I think they encourage takeaway as it’s situated in an old church, but if you can secure a table then you’re on to a winner as the food can get a bit messy (in the best way possible).

I’ve had a few things off their menu and can’t think of one complaint. Those halloumi, chorizo & sweet chilli nachos were incredible. The nacho chips were done proper as well, not just tortilla chips from a bag, they were cut from a tortilla wrap and cooked to perfection.
