Bananamoon — Restaurant in Scotland

Most of the staff were pleasant and the cocktails were good. However, one member of staff severely soured our evening. Working in hospitality I am well aware of the 10pm laws, but after being told 3 timea in the space of 5 minutes that we had to finish our drinks, one member of staff pretty much snatched a glass of water and 30ml of a margarita out of my friends hand as soon as the clock hit 10. How about give some polite customers a couple of minutes? This was especially annoying as pther3members of staff weren't harassing the 20 other customers at the bar nearly half as hard to hand over their drinks. Then to make matters worse as we drove past on a taxi 20 minutes laters we see atleast 10 customers still hanging out the front entrance? It all seems very contradictory to me and feels like we were forced to finish our drinks because we were the decent customers and not wanky pellets like the rest of the clientele. It would be 1 star except the decent work of the other staff involved. Truly appalling...

Despite booking a table weeks in advance, when we turned up the very rude staff member told us that they had no room for us at the time of the reservation as they had given the table to “Instagram influencers”. This was extremely frustrating as we had to wait a long time to eventually get seated, this wait was included in our 1.5hour allocated time. The female staff member had a terrible attitude and was not apologetic at all. When we were finally sat at our table outside, the weather took a turn for the worst and the staff brought out only one canopy for the table of “influencers” and every other customer had to sit in the cold with no shelter. After a tough year of working through the pandemic, my friends and I were really looking forward to a well deserved night out and this poor service really put a damper on it. Was going for a couple cocktails and a nice evening and got told the cocktails would be brought over. The bar was not busy at all. We then waited 20 minutes just to be told the cocktails we ordered weren’t available. Waited another 10 minutes and only one of the cocktails was brought over and was 90% ice and 10% (being generous) was cocktail. Said we have to leave for a dinner reservation and I was still charged the full £10.50 for the cocktail alternative I was offered. Horrible service, will not be returning.
