Bowmans Coffee House — Restaurant in Scotland

Went for a coffee and cake with my young daughter and other half.

Flat white was luke warm and finished in three sips - (pretty much!) - felt like that anyway. Would have said something but just felt uncomfortable and couldn't wait to leave to be honest.

Asked them if they could do a kids hot chocolate. They said they could and would put it in a small cup - but we were charged the full adult price! Thought this was a bit sneaky and cheeky to do that. Would have just got a large if we knew we were paying for it! (Btw it did NOT come with any cream or marshmallows as my daughter does not like them!) - despite comments below. Not Deluxe. It was a tiny basic hot chocolate. Priced as a large.

Cakes not priced at counter - for obvious reasons. Lady serving us even admitted they were quite expensive and probably why.

Overall quite disappointed. Wouldn't go back...

I visited the Monifieth shop last Saturday to treat my mum to afternoon tea, and I was thoroughly impressed. Despite the place being full, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional experience. They were attentive, friendly, and made us feel so welcome, catering to our every need. The selection of cakes was fantastic, and I loved being able to choose our own sandwiches. There was so much food that we had plenty left over, and they kindly packed it up for us to take home. The staff really made the occasion extra special, helping to make my mum’s birthday unforgettable. I’ll definitely be returning....

Wandered in for a coffee and a tea, lovely and fresh. Then a regular customer I believe came in , staff knew her personally, elderly woman she was. Cafe assistant spotted that she had inadvertently put her Jersey on the wrong way, she calmly and caringy led the woman to the back to help her and to fix her garment. She then sat her down and her drink and food was served.

Absolutely 1st class customer service, above and beyond the call of duty.
