Brown Munde — Restaurant in Scotland

What an epic disappointment, how this place gets a positive review is bewildering !!!!

The prices hurt saying it out loud, but when you get the food - it's as though you have been robbed at gun point and made to eat really bad super market take out.

The food is not genuine, tasty or remotely what it should have been, if someone is calling themselves a chef and getting paid to churn this #*i% out, then great hustle, it certainly is a great scam.

Oh, and if you visit the place to collect your food or want to eat in, you will see the place, only white people eating it, the decor and should feel what we felt, stupid for picking this place, robbed and bemused this place is allowed to stay open.

Needless to say that we all had fluid diarrea for 3 days, ruining our trip. I pray this place closes to stop punishing the locals from this...

Been meaning to come for ages as it smells so good when you walk past. The food did not disappoint, we had some popadoms and chutneys to start then 2 veg dishes, 2 chicken dishes and 2 breads between the 2 of us and everything was delicious and there was not a scrap left! Love the fact it’s smaller tapas style dishes so you can have a few to try and not feel like it’s too much food. The price was amazing too and we left pleasantly full. The inside is nicely decorated and seating well spaced so you don’t feel crammed in, quite deceiving from the outside. Service was great, it wasn’t too busy when we arrived and they made sure we had a drink and checked in if our food was good. I will definitely be back; best tasting curry’s I’ve had...

Tonight was my first time visit to Brown Munde with my family after hearing good things about this restaurant which is situated in the former legendary Paris Match bar in Kilmarnock. Firstly, the staff welcomed us warmly and were attentive and friendly, giving us plenty of time to look at the menu and plenty of time between courses. The drinks menu offered a wide range of drinks and i chose one i hadn't heard of before: Bombay Bicycle, an IPA which was excellent. The food menu itself had plenty of choice including vegetarian dishes and authentic chefs specials which were different from what you might normally expect to see on an Indian food menu. Quite simply, the food was first class! I will definitely be back and would recommend...
